THE NPP HAS IMPLODED. What we are seeing today is the ashes that rise after an implosion. Once that one settles, the party Akufo Addo successfully destroyed will be no more. Asantefoo will think they are dreaming. It will be like "cini" to them. The Kibi/Abomosu Mafia have swerved them. While Kumasi struggles with street lights at night, the road from Anyinam to Kibi is lit day and night. While the roads in greater Kumasi that are heavily used, the Anyinam Kibi road is dualised. The old Ofori Panyin palace was demolished and replaced with a castle. The NPP is yamutu. It is GONE.

Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu's stance on the selection instead of the election of the NPP's National Chairman is undemocratic and antithetical to the Party.

Clarifying his stance on the calls for him to lead the NPP as National Chairman, Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu declared:

“If, by consensus, the party selects me, Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, as National Chairman, I will accept. But if I have to campaign across the country at my own expense, I will not do it. This style of campaigning is damaging the party. From polling station elections to the national level, we have normalized a system that fuels corruption. How can we fight corruption in government if we continue to encourage this practice within our party?”

How different is Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu from Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, and why do they both vehemently hate healthy competition for ideas? I thought, as somebody who has been in parliament for eons, he was going to preach widening the party's base and contest of cogent alternative ideas, but alas.

Suppose the system is based on corruption from the polling station elections to the national level; how do we root it out because, after the primaries, the party still has to contest the general polls nationally? Do we have to reinvent the wheel, or are there templates across the planet for us to copy how to conduct a genuine polls based on merit, i.e., how Alhaji contested the 2024 polls without insults and conceding earlier to avoid shedding unnecessary blood?
