The party needs to disband and reform by people who care about this country. The current leadership is a risk to the country because of the kind of politics they believe in. The mentality is to destroy any government in power by undermining it with lies, propaganda and deception. The level of corruption they involved in during their time in power in unprecedented, and the sale of state properties and pocketing the funds raised highlights the mentality of the leadership. It must disband and be led by those who care for the country and are ready to commit to the development of Ghana.

Factions can also result from personality cults. If you are an NPP supporter and at this time denying there are no factions in the NPP then you don't know your own party. Previous leaders and or members who stood for leadership elections inevitably develop into factions. A deliberate effort is required by the national executives to bring them together. That should have been done even before the nationwide tour (which must be led by the executives and not the candidates in the last elections.

Rawlings, the sole founder and owner of NDC was not a CPP. You people (CPP, NDC and affiliates) wish NPP dead, but it has rather stood the test of time and against all of your machinations – protective detentions, harassments, one party state, vile propaganda, etc. NPP is a proper democratic party that does not stifle the freedoms of anyone, but rather gives equal opportunity to all who want to contest for any position. One’s ability to clinch a position depends on his or her astuteness. What you see happening now, is a normal contest. Those, like the butterfly group, who cannot stand defeat and possible humiliation, because of their egos, will fall apart, but the party soldiers on.
