At the moment everything is boiled down to common sense, l would advise the president to put a ban on surface mining for at least two years for our rivers to recover from the destruction done by some pigs who call themselves surface miners, if anybody wants to mind, they should go deep underground however the destruction we are causing today would definitely have serious consequences in the years ahead .Ghana can do better without surface mining if we manage the resources we have well,greedy politicians are not happy because they know they will loose money when government put measures to crack down on illegal mining activities in our forests reserves.
