A lot of the sermons from the pulpits these days are a bunch of shtuyot – complete nonsense – crafted to massage the egos of the preachers.

  Religio can never be an economic tool for a nation, especially in Africa, where we have misunderstood and misinterpreted the Abrahamic religions of Christianity and Islam to respectively mean exploitation and barbarism. Stealing and exploiting people in the name of miracles and blessings from tithe payment, while Islam is killing and maiming in the name of winning souls to get 72 virgins in heaven. Such deranged reasoning can never be leveraged for any economic advantage. Just because people want religious dominance, they deliberately litter children like animals and fill our streets with wayward and delinquent children who are nothing but a nuisance to society. For every brutal crime in Ghana, if it is not Mohammed, then it is Yusuf. How can the economy get better with such religious barbarism?
