The doctors in Ghana should not forget that they had free education to help their own people. The Tamale Teaching Hospital has not made any improvement in the lifes of Northerners. The medical personnel although brought up in villages, do not now want to have any dealings with their villages and end up in Tamale looting the people and their government that worked so hard to educate them.. What a shame mother Ghana. Apologizing and going on strikes do not aid in improving the health of the average Ghanaian. We need a revamp of our medical system to benefit those who paid 'Lampo' and taxes to get these doctors and nurses trained. Wake up Ghana. We are almost seven decades after our so called independence and we seem not to be able to get a handle on how to rule ourselves. YEN

I had read somewhere that --the use of the word COMMONER --during the verbal exchange that occurred when the Health Minister visited the Tamale Govt Hospital has been condemned.---Well , well unfortunate as the entire incident was --whoever used the word COMMONER must be excused ---granting that the English Language is not his mother tongue----I am sure the man didn't conjure up the appropriate word for the TWI word 'MOBRAHU'---[DOWNTHRODEN ]--the man did not mean lower class in our society---maybe he had meant less privileged .
Anyway the whole incident was a fiasco--the Minister failed big time .
His attitude in a way was condescending---[Don't you know who I am ?--I will show you where power lie-.why should you talk back to me ?]--quite disgraceful on the part of this long serving MP----Maturity--fineness --should have been what the Minister should have displayed .Reservation and reaction at an appropriate time was what he should have done.
Now ---on the matter re the' donation'--[presentation ] of the needed medical EQUIPMENT to the Hospital ---Why and how come the ITEMS had to be sent to the HOSPITAL after the altercation ?--About time we get on TOP of pressing ISSUES and not wait for ugly scenes to happen .
