I hate the defining hypocrisy of our cultural system, which seems stuck even as many Ghanaians seek a better system but don't know where it begins. In your own state of mind, guided by the compass of freedom, justice, and righteousness:
1. Think deeply about the circumstances under which Ms. Koomson went to the polling station.
2. Why on earth would you, a former MP (possibly an experienced politician), in your right mind, make a political statement in an understandably charged political atmosphere if not mistakenly guided by your superiority complex?
3. Why would you be armed with pepper spray and be the first to use it on people, especially in a highly charged political atmosphere?

And here lies the hypocrisy and stupidity of our cultural stagnation:
Instead of addressing the above points as wrongdoings by someone who should have known better, Ms. Annan sinfully and insensitively ignores the facts, dismissing the wrongdoing, and foolishly downplays the stress unwarrantedly provoked by the nasty Koomson, trying to portray herself as the wise elder in the situation.
You are terribly wrong. That is the hypocrisy of the stagnant Ghanaian culture I am talking about. It happens too often, and you know what? It destroys the moral compass among the youth. It’s so bad that I'd argue it’s one of the reasons Ghana is moving two steps backward and only one step forward.

I urge you to take a deep dive into analyzing the entire situation.
Let's stop this nonsense and treat people with respect, giving the youth a reason to stand confidently in their right to the truth... of course, while also avoiding mob justice. Mob justice arises from the fear of grievances not being addressed properly, as publicly portrayed by Ms. Annan and others.
