Ken Agyapong sabotaged his own political party towards the 2024 general elections by sponsoring over thirty independent and NDC candidates to contest the official candidates of NPP. Some are Ayawaso West Wuogon, Ayawaso Central, Okaikwei North, Okaikwei Central, Awutu Senya East, Yendi, Gomoa Central, Babiani-Ahwiaso-Bekwai, Asante Akyem North, Ablekuma West, Assin Central, Assin South, Sunyani East and West, Agona West and many other constituencies. After he lost the presidential primaries, he swore to send his own party NPP into opposition because he felt cheated and also aggrieved because some NPP parliamentarians whom he had previously supported financially, supported the winner of the primaries, Vice President Bawumia. True to he words, he supported the opposition to win about thirty seats against his own political party. He also made several derogatory statements against his own party and promised to send it into opposition, which he celebrated after the elections. He discussed with his inner circles that if he allowed Dr. Bawumia to win, he Ken could never by president in Ghana again because he would be in his seventies after Dr. Bawumia's possible two-term presidency. He achieved his objective by sabotaging his own party. This is the man who is coming back to the party to ask for their support to be the leader of the party on 31st January, 2026 and the presidential candidate for the 2026 elections. He contributed immensely to the party's loss last December. He therefore doesn't deserve to lead the NPP for any elections. Please ignore all his recent speeches and appeals to NPP delegates for votes.
