Rawlings himself possessed numerous unexplained assets that should have been investigated. No Ghanaian leader deserves the kind of treatment meted out during the AFRC era, and Mahama should not face such extrajudicial actions either. However, he must be brought before a competent court over the Airbus scandal.

Finally, Kusi Ajuabeng should be compelled to produce whatever evidence was used to declare Mahama “innocent.” If it turns out that evidence was suppressed or manipulated to shield him, then he too should face charges for protecting a criminal.
