Galamsey isn’t a one-button problem you solve with a “state of emergency.” It’s livelihoods, gold revenue, enforcement, environment, and institutional reform all tangled together. Simplistic calls ignore this reality. The harder path is what Mahama did—acknowledge the truth, even if it isn’t popular. That’s the kind of honesty leadership requires.
