When people we love are going through mental health crisis, we should use the traditions of our society to call them to order. Ken Agyapong had the same mental health issue and its my understanding that he sought medical help abroad. There is nothing disgraceful about attending to mental health.

That prosecution is of Abronye is nothing but a collusion between the government and the crooked Police to misuse the law to drag its political opponent through the criminal system with the sole intent of silencing him. There's no justification for criminally prosecuting a citizen for making statements that the Police and the government deem to be unacceptable, statement that do not include any threats of violence towards any person or agency; nor do these statements incite others into acts of violence. Free speech includes making statements that may be deemed offensive to others. The Police claim of 'Offensive Conduct' is merely a cheap attempt to use the courts as bullying pulpits to harass and silence political opponents of the government.

It is on record that he sought political asylum and is more of a flight risk than the ordinary Ghanaian. Does Hamza remember Wikileaks’ Julian Assange. He never stepped out of London but was living at the Embassy of Ecuador as a refugee. He even had his two or so children in the embassy premises. So Abronye's case should be looked at differently from others.
