Thousands of jobs created under 'One Constituency, One Ambulance' initiative – Bawumia

The former Vice President and New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer hopeful, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, has disclosed that over 2,300 individuals were recruited into the National Ambulance Service (NAS) under the flagship policy initiative; One Constituency, One Ambulance.

He made this known during his tour of the Central Region on Wednesday, October 1, 2025.

“Under the One Constituency, One Ambulance initiative 2,300 people were recruited into the National Ambulance Service," Bawumia noted.

The Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo-led government commissioned and distributed 307 ambulances to help augment the operations of the National Ambulance Service (NAS).

The new ambulances were distributed across all 275 constituencies in Ghana, fulfilling the government’s 2016 election campaign promise to improve emergency healthcare delivery nationwide.

The program was spearheaded by the Ministry of Special Development Initiatives.
