If the Christian Council is so much interested in the completion of the Akufo Addo National Cathedral, the government will do well by looking at current laws governing the Cathedral. By privatizing the entity, the Christian Council can fully own it and fulfilling it debts obligations to the state. The Christian community, with it huge membership can organize themselves and complete it without depending on the state. The state has too much on its plates currently and doesn't have to concern itself with the Akufo Addo's pledge to GOD.

That cathedral was borne out of lie concocted by devious Akufo-Addo in his demented attempt to harvest Christian votes to help his NPP win the 2024 national elections. As part of that evil plot to fool the Ghana electorate, Akufo-Addo and his NPP followers insisted on completing that sham national cathedral before October 2024, just in time to showcase their elephant deception before commencement of voting. Any reasonable person will asking why, if indeed Akufo-Addo had made a pact with God, why God did not question Akufo-Addo's attempt to misuse hundreds of millions of dollars to build that cathedral while the country is in dire need of decent roads, clean drinking water, better pay for healthcare workers, better equipment for hospitals, better pay and increased resources for the Police who often to have to fight crime with very limited resources, and repairs to many crumbling and unsafe elementary school buildings across the country?

I believe Nana Addo’s Cathedral project was a personal project which got smuggled into a National project by STEALTH. The Christian Council cannot hold the Nation accountable for building a National Church or Cathedral. It is the responsibility of the individual CHURCHES to build their own places of Worship.

A nation with thousands of elementary school kids still schooling under trees; millions in rural area still struggling to get clean drinking water and access to healthcare; healthcare workers struggling with challenging equipment in hospitals; and not to mention thousands of miles of deplorable and unsafe roads across the country, has no business wasting tax payers' money to erect a sham national cathedral just to please one segment of Ghana society. The next time Ghana appeals to the international community for financial assistance, that community should remind Ghana about how it doesn't deserve any assistance because of its misplaced priorities by pushed by vision-less leaders that continue to hurt not only Ghana's economy because also the daily lives of Ghanaians. It will be nothing gross hypocrisy if the Mahama government makes an about-face and decides to complete that white elephant. Ghanaians never made a pact with God to build that sham cathedral; it was Akufo-Addo's attempt to deceive Ghanaians into supporting his wasteful spending on a cathedral that he falsely claimed to have made a pact with God to build that cathedral. Since Akufo-Addo claims to made a personal pact with God to build that cathedral while neglecting to address the sufferings of Ghanaians, the Mahama government should let Akufo-Addo dig into his personal account to complete his personal sham project that he started. The Ghana government should turn that space into a first class hospital that specializes in the treatment of various diseases.
