Media personality Nana Aba Anamoah (L) has slammed President Museveni over plastic bowl voting video
Ghanaian media personality Nana Aba Anamoah has joined several netizens in expressing disappointment in the newly re-elected Ugandan president, who has been in power for nearly 40 years.
In a post shared on social media, Nana Aba Anamoah reacted to a viral video showing Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni voting using a plastic bowl, describing the voting process as shameful.
According to her, the Ugandan president has been in power for four decades yet has failed to adequately develop the country.
Museveni takes strong lead in early results of Uganda presidential race
Comparing Uganda to Ghana, particularly their electoral processes, the media personality noted that she feels blessed to be Ghanaian.
She wrote, “I won’t trade Ghana for anything. Plastic bowl in 2026? Hw3 ne tan. President since 1986!”
Meanwhile, Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni has been declared the winner of Thursday’s election, extending his four decades in power by another five years.
The Electoral Commission announced that he secured 72 per cent of the vote, defeating his closest challenger, Bobi Wine, who polled 25 per cent. Bobi Wine has since condemned the outcome, describing the results as “fake” and alleging “ballot stuffing.”
Museveni, 81, first came to power as a rebel leader in 1986 and has since won seven elections.
