This withdrawal is merely cosmetic. After all, if Baba Jamal goes on to contest the election on the ticket of the NDC and wins, as he would be expected to, he would have had to be recalled anyway. So it's like doing something they would have had to do in time anyway, just slightly earlier. Is that really punishment?
