Comedian and social commentator DKB has slammed NPP Member of Parliament (MP) for Nsawam-Adoagyiri, Frank Annoh-Dompreh, after the legislator described cocoa as “infinite” in a post on X, calling the claim a manipulation of scientific facts.

Annoh-Dompreh had posted: “Gold is finite, but cocoa is infinite (sustainable). This government must show leadership,” tagging President John Dramani Mahama and Finance Minister Dr Cassiel Ato Forson.

But DKB, who claims he holds an Agriculture degree from the University of Ghana, Legon, said:

“Boss, I'm an Agric graduate from Legon. I won't allow you to throw dust in people's eyes. Cocoa trees are prolific for 25 to 30 years, usually. Isn't that finite? So why call it infinite?” he fired back on X.

The comedian accused the MP of distorting science in pursuit of political point-scoring.

“So desperate for scandals, you're now manipulating scientific facts. It's a shame.”

Annoh-Dompreh's remarks came against the backdrop of Ghana's worsening galamsey crisis, which has devastated farmlands, poisoned water bodies, and wiped out vast stretches of cocoa-growing territory across the country.

With illegal mining continuing to erode Ghana's agricultural base, the MP made the case that cocoa offers a more sustainable economic future than gold, urging the Mahama administration to prioritise it.
