He also praised the Electoral Commission, the NPP's Election Committees and the security services for ensuring a smooth electoral process.

According to the statement, the Ashanti Regional Chairman believes the elections mark the beginning of a more critical phase for the party as it seeks to return to power in 2028.

Quoting the NPP's 2024 presidential candidate, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, the statement said, "The real work begins now."

It added that the immediate task before the newly elected executives is to "unite, reorganise, and mobilise at the grassroots level to deliver victory for the NPP in 2028."

Chairman Wontumi further charged the executives to protect the party's image, reconcile members following the internal polls, and actively promote Dr Bawumia's vision across the country.

He urged them to "protect and defend the NPP brand", "bring all factions together and work as one team," and "work hard to market Dr Bawumia's vision to the people of Ghana."

Addressing constituency executives in the Ashanti Region, Chairman Wontumi described the region as the "engine room" and "world bank" of the NPP, stressing that it would play a decisive role in the party's electoral fortunes.

He tasked the executives with working towards delivering "85%+ for the NPP in 2028," adding that "the eyes of the nation are on us."

The statement concluded with a call for unity, assuring the newly elected executives of Chairman Wontumi's support.

"Let us put aside our differences and focus on one goal: Winning 2028 for the NPP and for Dr Bawumia," the statement said.
