Perhaps the President should commission the erection of a bronze plaque at the site of this calamitous idea bearing the names of all the high profile individuals who participated in this ill-judged and extremely frivolous and wasteful project. The giant hole should be fenced off and a sheltered paved foot path constructed around it so that future Ghanaians and visitors will walk around this enormous hole in the ground wonder and ponder over the folly of the men and women who contrived to start such a foolish and completely insane and worthless venture.

Then, another short man from his party tribe, came to power another time and said he'd promised God to build a cathedral for God not to be homeless. in Ghana. He also said the tax payers would foot the bill. And so it started with gargantuan payments in USD to the architect and some pastors with very big congregations in Ghana. They brought their church business ideas to collect as much as they could ask for per month for their consumption and left the project dead upon arrival. All their expertise helped create a big lake on the site where the project was to go up. They started fighting among themselves and the project sank into oblivion. Dear Ghana and God should practice godliness.

I cannot understand, for the life of me, why anyone would be confused by the President's dissociation of state machinery from a clearly dubious parasitic private entity.

The "board" can no more claim any attachment to the state. Now they can reconstitute themselves as private citizens into a board of their choosing, identify real estate of their liking, seek the funding they require and build whatever edifice pleases them.

The state and Ghanaians will not be roped into and hoodwinked into legitimizing fraudulent orchestrations of private individuals.

JDM promised to jail some gov't appointees particularly on national cathedral issue. After investigation upon investigation, no one has been found culpable, no corruption as publicise by ndc members. It's expected that AG hold a press conference and tell the world that after all nothing wrong was found against any appointee. AG would have held a press conference if something untoward took place on the project so it's equally important to inform the world the outcome of the investigation which this gov't initiated. This gov't know no shame when it comes to lies.
