The Newly appointed Deputy Electoral Commissioner Emelia has demonstrated and contributed colossal sums in drafting the 2024 elections manifesto and was actively part of the committee of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC).When choosing leaders to steer the affairs of such a meritorious and respected institution in our republic,the office integrity should be taking into consideration.

Rationally, her political affiliation with the ruling National Democratic Congress has dent the image and the integrity of the Electoral commission of Ghana. Our political leaders should prioritize the national interest and devoid selfish decisions that could undermine the public trust from state institutions.

Literally the woman might be competent enough to deliver on her mandate or her assign duties in this noble office but choosing someone that openly worked hand in hand with the ruling party is something I’m really finding it hard to comprehend in my bosoms. Apparently out of the 35-38 million population in our country we couldn’t get anyone more adequate and qualify enough to occupy this prestigious position?

Reset: to put back in original place or position or to set anew. How would the nation reset each of our past errors? Do we send everyone who was not hired on merit home? Do we reclaim state funds from illegally awarded contracts? Do we replace everyone on the court benches including the Supreme Court? Should we get rid of all management of state institutions of government?

If Martin Kpebu wants to be Ghana's new idiotic crusader then let it be so but in life we neutralize poisons or acids; we do not discard affected body parts the same way we cannot get rid of every employee from past adminustrations. Lookup the meaning of words like counter, neutralize or render ineffective Martin Kpebu and stop being a jackass.
