I know a man here who began a campaigner agains youth drug abuse after he lost his 16 year old daughter to a party drug 'ectasy'; she was dancing all night, got dehydrated, and eventually died in the morning.
Though we do not have to go through a bad experience to get motivation, however many do learn and go on a 'crusade' after many events.
