I will unite North-Tongu and increase presidential votes-Ablakwa

Torgome (V/R), Jan. 22, GNA-Mr Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, a Deputy Minister of Information and newly elected National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Candidate for North Tongu, on Saturday said his focus was to re-unite the Party and traditional areas in the Constituency.

"My major work now is to unite the Party and our people in the Constituency. Eight of us contested, so I have to work hard to bring everybody on board to increase our presidential votes," he told the Ghana News Agency briefly after results of the election were announced.

Mr Okudzeto Ablakwa polled 157 out of a total of 405 votes cast to beat seven other contestants.

Mr Charles Hodogbey, the incumbent Member of Parliament (MP) had 26 votes, Mr Christopher Kofi Eleblu, 111, Mr Kwami Alorvi, 56, Mr James Cudjoe Agornyra, 31, Mr Lawson Kwesi Gakpe'
