  When some retired justices are making contributions towards a better democratic dispensation for Ghana, Kpegah is only thinking of pulling some people down. I wonder where and how he wants his name to be written in the history of Ghana's development.

  If the elected assembly members represent parties, they will push party agenda and not focus on local issues, which is what they should be doing. It is precisely because of the current heavily politicised nature of our local ...

  If the elected assembly members represent parties, they will push party agenda and not focus on local issues, which is what they should be doing. It is precisely because of the current heavily politicised nature of our local government system, that it is not working.
  
  The district chief executive should be a public service job, advertised openly for qualified people to apply for. The person appointed would have corporate management experience to have overall responsibility for local activities such as: sanitation, roads, town planning etc. This person would report to the assemblies, and through them, to the people.
  
  I believe the assemblies can choose a leader of the assembly within their own members - a maximum of around thirteen members. Currently, some of the assemblies are so large as to be practically useless for the effective running of business in their areas.

  You are spot on with your thpoughts. All assembly member must be elected and they have to prove what they have acheive during their time in office. Our school have no maintenance plan at all. Why is this happening.

  The key to Ghana progress is holding each assembly member to accounts re money spent and what was acheieve to speed the progress of each individual town , villages and communities.

  When ready are our politicians to listen to advise our elders and good advises the masses suggest to them always,let us stop disturbing the whites with big big loans aba Ghana.
