  For the life of me I cannot understand why our MPs should waste our resources to comment on this alien and useless day. If the mps care for fathers they should do everything to ensure that all fathers get a well-paid job to do so that they will be able to fulfil their fatherly duties. Observation of mere days should not be copied blindly.

  There are several Ghanaian fathers all over the world with multiple partners who neglect their children financially, emotionally and abuse them physically. They are irresponsible. This menace in our society should be tackled. A robust child support agency and family values should be taught at home and in all our schools from primary to university. Impregnating a lady comes with tremendous responsibilities.
  
  Some fathers have never seen their children. On a day like this, those fathers should be ashamed of themselves. All those sugar daddies with cars parked at our universities should repent and seriously consider the damage they are doing to society. Neglecting their own kids and enticing young girls with money meant for their families.
  
  Legislators should tackle this injustice instead of patting themselves on their backs!
