I absolutely agree with Mike Oquaye Jr that Prof Mills was an honest, God-fearing man. But he made a mistake in judgement by entering politics in the first place.
I personally believe he was never planning to venture into that arena but he was lured by Rawlings and his (P)NDC. He should have known that politics is not for someone who wouldn't want to help other people.
He said that, there is a place in politics for decent people. But that place is not the presidency. He was too gentle and meek to hold that tension-packed office where your decisions and actions will always hurt sections of the citizenry. He judged wrongly when he accepted the offer from the NDC.
All those who knew him closely share the same views as Mike Oquaye Jr. A few days after his death, Yaw Osafo Marfo who attended Achimota with the Prof, published a tribute in which he wondered what pushed Prof Mills into the "deep, murky, shark-infested" water of politics.
We should all learn a lesson from Prof Mill's misjudgement .... "man, know thyself". Prof Mills failed (or perhaps refused) to know himself. This is what caused his waterloo!!! He was a good man and should have lived a peaceful life devoid of politics.
When he joined the political bandwagon, he even started learning to tell lies. He denied complete knowledge of the judgement debt payments to Woyome when the issue first went viral. It later emerged that, he was fully aware of it and even disapproved it when it first came to his desk.

I am neither NPP nor NDC supporter and I believe anybody who holds the Bible in public is weak. How can you claim a leader to be good when his appointees are sharing Tax payers' money as Judgement Debts ?
