The economy under NDC was in shambles and the only significant way it could have some life was to admit the truth; that the nation was broke! Literally bankrupt!

That bold and honest admission earned the country a write-off of millions of US dollars (in debt) owed the international economic players. The monies birthed from the relief helped to inject some life into the ailing economy! If you saw everything wrong with that move then I'm lost for any convincing!

Sometimes I wonder aloud why this vibrant party NDC that I'm proud has come to the nation's political field to put up strong checks and balances against any excesses of the vociferous "mate meho fo" party are not so lucky to leave good economy legacy! Take it or leave it Kuffour's government with all its frailties as a human institutions breathed life into the country's economy. This can be confirmed by the ordinary citizen on the street! For me I care less which party is in power so long as the economy is working and majority of the people are happy! Look at our manufacturing sector. Just check the index of productivity in all sectors of the economy! Times are very tough and to worsen it the government in power seems to be helpless in stemming the tide.

Mind you if we want progress we must face facts and stop this primitive attitude of blind following of political parties whether what they are doing is good or bad!

There is no recourse for an ensuing government to indemnify the previous one due to the nature of successive progression. If you do not know what you are walking into, do not venture. It is for that reason this crying over spilled milk is simply infantile and inure to disabilities difficult to abdicate.

We need problem solvers not bounty hunters, the Woyome handout could have easily settled this debt. If fooling us once was not enough, twice is unacceptable.

Do you know that Kufour is the richest man in Ghana today? Did he have money when he came to power? Corruption was well instituted in Ghana by Kufour and his friends and family between 2001 and 2008. So stop blaming John Mahama and the NDC. May be a few examples will help you: Ghana Telecom sale, Ghana Airways, Ghana @50 celebration, Hotel Kufour, the Eurobond mess, the TOR debt recovery levy, flagstaff house construction, sale of government lands in Accra, etc. if I were an NPP activitist, I would have been ashamed talking about CORRUPTION because of the history of NPP.

But I don't blame the party NDC per se. I blame those who should have known better but turned a blind eye and voted for NDC.

I only hope they are not suffering as the rest of the masses! Next time people must think through our politicians carefully and not their stomach for the brief enjoyment of 4x4s, laptops, salt etc! In fact bad decisions on the part of many voters on the day of voting is the root cause of the economic troubles of the nation!

1. Mobilised Eurobond to fund the building of the Tema Thermal 1 Power Plant for the VRA

2. Procured 2 x Alstom Units, one of them secondhand. The units were 60hz, not suitable for Ghana and had be converted to 50hz. Each turbine was overpriced by EUR6million. Up till now the turbines have not been installed

3. Procured almost 100MW of diesel gensets which were between 1.5MW to 2.5 MW. Shameful waste of GH resources.

4. One of the top NPP gurus mads arrangements with Canada Commercial Corporation to bring in useless machines from Ukraine which were then forced on VRA, almost 125 MW. These machines which have been installed at Aboadze have exploded and the Canadians are not accepting blame but have thrown it on VRA. Yet GoG have to pay for the loan. What a rip off
