His deputy worked with him, throughout the rigged elections and if he replaces him things could be worse, knowing that he will feel the NPP will not challenge the 2016 results, under his watch, because it will lead to accusations that the NPP will always complain irrespective of who is the chair of the EC.

Some of us in eastern region can't understand why Nana should ignore a whole " okyehene " and rushed to "Manshia " and offered " Asantehene his highest respect and even said he respected he "Asantehene" more than that of his own grandfather and a paramount chief of Akyen Abuakwa " traditional area . Nana is a digrace to our area, he didn't bother to visit " Okyehene" who is closer to his Nana's Nima residence , from Nana' house to Kyebi , is closer than that of Manshia, but because he is arrogant, he chose to go to Manshia first. We the people of Akyen Abuakwa traditional area want to let Nana addo knows very well that we acknowledged the disrespect he showed to our Okyehene and his elders in the area, we shall respond to his call in the same measure at the right time coming 2016 election.

The reaction to that assertion by Addison and the other NPP lawyers showed a clear disappointment and hopelessness. If you have the video, have a good look again. Secondly, he failed to produce any evidence from NPP agents to support any of his claims.

They stated that Afari Djan has swapped Akufi Addo's figures for Mahama; something they later dropped. Then it was that there were ghost polling stations. It turned out that they were live stations which had their representatives over there.I can cite lots of examples. The NPP should wait and mark this space, they will lose again under any new Electoral Commissioner who is appointed. NPP has essentially noise makers and not voters

Thank you Hon MP. Unfortunately, I am also of the view that, Dr. Afari Djan's resignation is rather unfortunate. With all the lessons learnt from the last election, he could have been in the best position to preside over a more perfect free and fair election. My problem is with his replacement. Do not forget that people are going to lobby for this single position. Who ever succeeds Dr. Afari Djan is going to be frustrated by the political parties especially NPP and NDC. There is going to be suspicions and speculations. After this landmark Supreme Court verdict, it will have been better if at least Dr. Afari Djan proves his competency before honorably bowing out. This will have laid a perfect credibility for the Electoral Commission. Now, aren't we going to appoint another Ghanaian? How is this person going to be trusted? Nana's last fight, should he make it in the primaries will be too tough for the newly to be appointed Commissioner to handle. I will want Dr. Afari Djan to reconsider his position at least until after the battle of battles is concluded in 2016. God bless Ghana!

Derrick Oduro should stop the kind of dishonesty he is engaging and think about his work in parliament and the interest and welfare of Ghana ahead of party politics. If the reason for civil servants to resign their posts could be based on criticism from the public and or by politicians we would not have a member left in parliament and or in any managerial post in Ghana's civil service establishments. The problem in Ghana is that we have dangerous hypocrites for the core membership of the NPP and yellow belly cowards as the base of the NDC. In either case, mother Ghana loses the chance at development and or at good governance.
The only time in Ghana's 50+ years of independence when the UGC/UP/NPP party has accepted election results was the two times the NPP won in 2000 and 2004 every other election results had been rigged. Either the NPP membership believes there is a God or there is no higher power out there for our existence. Why is it moral, acceptable or desirable for people to engage in acts of terrorism, give speeches to incite or urge public chaos, acts of hooliganism and vandalism by the NPP membership of today inherited from the UP of old where innocent people are killed or maimed, property destroyed and productivity curtailed but expect the world’s sympathy if Nkrumah would imprison leaders of perceived terrorist organizations like the UP of old or if J.J. Rawlings would use the gun to retain power? We cannot continue down this path of selective revulsion at public/official dishonesty and or of evil acts when it suits party or tribal interests.

The NPP lost both 2008 and 2012 general elections because of ineffective campaign strategy but not because of Afari Gyan,let's get that clear.You don't need to campaign on free shs to win general elections.The campaign messages of Nana Addo since 2007 has been free shs and industrialisation.He has not been able to define his programs.He was not able to defend his lousy free shs because there was no proper planning that is why NDC was able to neutralise the message so easily.I get bored whenever Nana Addo talks about transforming the economy into industrialisation.There is no specification,no projection,no priority and no clear defination,so how do you want the electorate to take you serious if you can't eleborate your programs?If you cannot convince the electorate of how you are going to achieve your programs then for sure they will not vote for you.Has Nana Addo forgotten that all our factories have collapsed and the rest are producing below capacity?
