Since the Attah Mills regime, the NDC has made it clear that their vision for the better Ghana agenda is INVESTING IN PEOPLE and INFRUSTRUCTURE. By and large it takes someone who is already a candidate to psychiatric hospital to think that John Mahama has missed it all. It is however obvious that while all governments after Nkrumah have decided to crack two bones at a time, ie, investment in people and provision of infrastructure, John has decided to chew one bone before the other. John is doing marvelously well in infrastructure at the expense of investment in people.
Everybody is crying fowl in John's administration. waters are dried up, there is no breadth in people, life is really hot. Why is it so, school leavers have no jobs (a policy continued from the Kufuor Administration) those who have jobs can not enjoy the fruit of their labour because, their allowances have been curtailed, promotions have been denied,no arrears for those who genuinely deserver them, people are pining away in the midst of periodic increases of petroleum prices (another Kufuor's continued policy) thus making planners confused, buyers and sellers debased thus making life truly unbearable.
Despite all these difficulties, John is more than good if after all the suffering Ghanaians are undergoing, he decides to look into the human aspect and revise these policies, he would have perfectly achieved both the human investment and infrastructure and I tell you would have been the best leader in Ghana after Nkrumah. If you are not seeing the infrastructure, the citizens see them in their communities and you can not tell them to close their eyes to them.They are human and have conscience as God gave everybody the ability to see, think and make judgments.
I am optimistic that John will do this.
Let me tell those who refuse to tell the truth for their own selfish reasons: the opposition we have in this country does not tell us the truth. When have they ever praised any good thing done by their opponent? at least if some good things have been achieved, praise them for that and tell us where failures abound. If you give the impression as though nothing is good then you are not in yourself good and there is no truth in you in which case you are dangerous if I trust my life into your hand.
I know John will surely look into the human face and not even Kuffour's eight year rule will come close to his four year rule if he ascertains the truth from the ground.
NPP should give us a break. We saw your rule in eight years. Were you perfect? didn't you have any blemish records? I certainly do not belong to any of you but if you continue to condemn every thing the government does, looking very aggressive at everything, looking hostile at all times, always desperate and ready to say things that will throw this country into turmoil, I am afraid your stay in the wilderness will last for too long a time. I certainly want to see a viable focused and determined opposition that has something better in their sleeves with the intention of giving us a better alternative government in the making.
