My problem is that, even if Alan gets the nomination, how is this guy and the Alan Kyerematteng campaign team going to get the Akuffo Addo supporters to enthusiastically campaign and vote for Alan? Can't Alan win the nomination without using this divisive method?

I have been in this forum since 2007 and have not seen such vitriolic heaped on a party Presidential candidate from within his own party as this guy is doing.

Okoampa was doing the same thing to Alan Kyerematten and I cautioned him to stop, I. can't say he has stopped yet but he has toned it down compared to this guy who to me is spurred on to do this with a hope of securing a juicy political appointment in an event of Kyerematten Presidency. He is motivated more by cedi signs more than anything.

This is really sad indeed and people in Npp are not even concerned about the bridge of division this guy is building in the party.

When you spend time and energy creating division and acrimony, where will that lead you? Disaster! If I were Allan, I would have nothing to do with him.
So no personality is equated to looks and height? When the content of the head, heart, is empty, what does good looks or gentility brings? Allan has been on the international stage for a while, why was this, his good looks, gent illness and tallness not achieve for him the last job he was looking for?! If we cannot link personality to personal and cooperate achievements, then we are lost as a people and we will continue to have the leaders we have now. Do this GAKE guys not get or understand that long arm that twisted the last two elections? If Allan himself believe this GAKE ,guys, and their rhetoric, then I'm afraid he is fighting from a losing end. In any case why can't the GAKE people concentrate on promoting Allan' s achievements in life and in governance to make their point? Thank God the NPP does not operate on hierarchy, and all positions are open to all. It seems to me that Allan by allowing such childish talk to go on is burying his political future.

It is quiet clear that NPP should elect a new face but I believe it has to be a strategic choice.The NPP is being run by turns but not by effective strategy that is why they always lose general elections.We have more than 2 years to go,it will be in the best interest of NPP to elect a candidate who can neutralise NDC campaign strategy with intelligent alternatives but not like chieftancy.NDC is not interested in personality cult when it comes to General elections,they go for candidates who will win more votes for the party,that's what matters.This is what we call effective campaign strategy but you will always hear NPP talking about stolen verdict instead of accepting the truth that their campaign strategy was ineffective.As for me,all the old faces are no longer the best candidates for 2016 general elections.NPP must just study the campaign trend of NDC from 1992,they will see that NDC has exhausted the Central region and would like to focus on the Western region.They always take NPP by surprise.Going to the Western region does not mean they are going to pick a candidate from there but they are afraid of losing that region for varity of reasons.Mind you,if you lose the Western,you lose Central and Greater Accra at the same time.Well,at this stage the aspirants of the flagbearership should display to Ghanaian general electorate what they are capable to do when they become president rather then just convincing few party faithfuls like the delegates.Thank you.

This Katakyie kid is a novice in politics, and thinks everybody thinks like he does. It is good for a leader to have good looks, but that is not a campaign tool! If we want a person with good looks to become president, then I suppose we should go for one of these Miss Ghana contestants rather than any of the current aspirants.
Personally, I do not trust Kyerematen and others like him who think the only way they can help Ghana is by becoming the president. This man was everywhere during the primaries for 2008 and 2012, but immediately he lost the campaign he vanished into thin air. How did he expect the party to go on between elections? If he ever wants to be president, then after the primaries, he must make himself available to help the party, whether in government or in opposition.
Even though it was Nana Addo, Bawumiah and Jake who took the case to court, the whole world believed that the NPP had indeed won the 2012 elections. Even the hard core NDC party members and supporters knew they had lost the elections, and bar the last minute antics of Atuguba and his gang of nine, the NPP would have been overseeing the economy of the country now. And can anybody imagine where we would have been by now?
For that reason, anybody who turns round now to claim that the party could have won the election with a different flag-bearer must be making cheap propaganda!
As at now, the NPP's hope of winning the next election is to support Nana in his third attempt. If, for any reason, Alan is given the nod, and subsequently, we lose the 2016 election, I bet Alan and his supporters would be braying that 'nobody has ever won Ghana's elections at the first attempt!' But we cannot afford to allow Mahama and his crooks send the country to the dogs any further. Now is the time. and Nana is the man! Ugly or handsome!

We don't a country by vitue of being handsome,tall,gentle giant, etc. If you have read a lot about the atributes of a good leader, I don't think you will just say somebody is handsome and we must vote for him. I know where you are coming from and Ghanaians know better than you do. In most cases people who are handsome are arrogant and authoritative. Think of other possible qualities which go beyond what you consider as good. After all leadership is fellowship. You should look mean on God's creature and say somebody is ugly. Alan is fine and may deserve all the attributes given but then think a bit wiser and know how to go about things. I don't support either Alan or Nana but keep your words to yourself. Katakyie, don't try to divide the NPP but try to unify them.You may have the mouth, but...

Before I proceed to offer my advice , I will let readers know who Katayie is:
1. He used to live in Edmonton in North London.
2. After failing to achieve his cherished ambition in life, he became so much disgruntled that he decided to moot a plan which will bring him some respite.
3. His mooted plan send him down to Ghana to follow Alan Kyeremateng in order to obtain his daily bread.
4. One of the reasons for his resentment towards Nana Akufo Addo is his loss of job when he (Katakyie) went to Ghana to cast his votes for him (Nana Addo) but nothing was done to pacify him.(Katakyie)
5. Katakyie has political ambition which he believes can be achieved under his ''angel'' Alan.
With the above picture, you don't have to be surprised about the on going activities of Katakyie.
6. The adjective that can be used to describe this Katakyie is opportunistic so readers should becareful when dealing with him.
7. As a deceiver, he has been using Afoko and Kwabena Agyapong as'' backbenchers'' of his ''angel'' Alan.
8. True lovers of Npp should not associate themselves with this young man since it's his avowed aim to destroy the party if his ''angel'' Alan does not win the Npp flagbearership race.
Now my advice to Katakyie.
Katakyie, if you are yelling for political appointment under your ''angel'' Alan's government, then let the delegates know why Alan jumped off the boat and into the jungle at the heat of the 2012 presidential election.
2. Don't overlook the intelligence of the delegates. They know Nana Akufo Addo and Alan better than you.
3. Remember that Ghanaian voters knew the performance of Alan when he was a Minister.
4. Remember that Alan has never won a competitive election in Ghana before.
My final advice is that you must look before you leap because if Alan does not win the flagbearership race, you will be sorry as you may decide to run but you cannot hide.
