What country is this where we hire a complete novice and give him a full charge over our national team in World Cup, and expect him to perform? This country has gone to the dogs! But the ultimate question is: why is the loser Akwasi Appiah still in his post? He should have been fired long before his plane landed at Kotoka. Black Stars lost because they could not play as a team. A case in point, Jordan Ayew. Instead of crossing the ball to Gyan to score, he wanted glory for himself. Coaching was our biggest problem, and of course, the GFA.

What we need as a nation now, is to have a critical look at the management of football as a whole in Ghana. What transpired in Brazil, did not happen overnight. Blame should be apportioned to both sides - players, and staff/management alike. But in the interest of Ghana football, the so called officials, who know nothing about proper management of football and sports in general, should not be allowed any where near the athletes/players. Whiles condemning Sulley Muntari's acts, I still feel what he did was necessary to 'open the eyes" of all genuine Ghanaians, who have been short-changed by a handful of incompetent sports administrators in Ghana. We need a complete overhaul of the administration of sports in Ghana. With the right approach, Ghana will re-emerge supreme in the field of soccer soon.

Secondly, If coach Appiah knew about this scandal, I would be disappointed in him. With all this said, I also believe the players could have discipline themselves, hold themselves to higher and professional standard because this lost is a question of our National pride , morality and team work.
