Its not smart to put Alan at the same level as the other contributors to Nana's campaign, because Alan was the second most popular 'vote-getter' in the flagbeareship election. His ability to bring back those who voted against Nana was more important for party unity than what the others were contributing. Nana and Agyarko's inability to foresee that was a regrettable failure on their part.

Alan may win the flagbearership, and knowing him, he will go any length to bring Nana and Bawumia on board to help him win the general election. That's what I call a winning disposition, that Alan so carefully nurtures. Arrogance does not win in anything. Alan - the Mr Down-to-Earth, will bring everyone on board, including floating voters.

You see the NPP tried to be clever by half and the electorate showed them the red card. First, former President Kuffour backed Allan in 2008 to succeed him, and the NPP electorate rejected him. Then he shifted his support to Nana Addo in the presidential election against Mills and Nana too was rejected by the Ghanaian electorate. After winning the primaries in 2008, Nana Addo made sure to remove all MP aspirants believed to be pro-Allan. This was as bad as Kuffour's support for Allan. Anyway, the rest of the country did not approve of these NPP gymnatics and voted against Nana Addo and his beloved Bawumia on two good occasions. Bawumia's presence in the NPP equation is also very curious. Here is a Pure Northerner whose family,father, mother, simbligs, village, town, distrct, region all vote NDC. If elections are about numbers then it is not clear what numbers the NPP were hoping to turn out from the North. Meanwhile Bawumia's choice on two occasions did damage to the NPP in the same way Mills choice did to NDC in 1996. Both men were considered outsiders in the parties. But the NDC is more torelant of minority tribes than NPP is. As Mills soon became the accepted presidential material for NDC, the NPP are not willing to take a "risk" and put their hopes on a Northern outsider. They do this by claiming competence over ethnicity, but everyone knows it is a facade. A vice presidential candidate is as qualified as a presidential one. So here lies their delima. NDC sets a trap for NPP and they fall in it headlong. The NDC has produced, EWE, Fante and Northern presidents, yet the NPP are still stuck with their one tribe hegemony. We would see how this plays out in 2016. Let Nana Addo-Bawumia combination be a winning ticket this time round. It has so far proved elusive for them.

At the time Nana started doing politics, Allan was a school boy, and it is therefore proper that respect is accorded to the elderly.
After JAK, Nana is next in line, and nothing can change that. I will seriously advised the Young Patriots,or the Young Executive Forum to marshal their resources behind Nana for a resounding victory in the 2016 elections.
Allan is over ambitious for political power, and his divisive tendencies play to the advantage of the ruling NDC who are happy about that.
What Allan must understand is that if Nana leaves the political scene in future, he would never be recognized as automatic next in line, and would contend seriously with others for the party leadership. We cherish internal party democracy, but with circumspection.

It is difficult to admit that several mistakes were made during and after the primaries. The personal insults, lies, arrogance, complacency and half-truths created a deep rift in the party.

Nana's team probably assumed they did not need Alan to win an election. From "one-touch", "Agbenaa" to "done deal" they thought they did not need Alan and made him feel unwelcome and disrespected. When they lost, they turned round and blamed him.

They did not want anyone overshadowing Nana. Boakye and his team sidelined some people during the campaign. So far, no lessons have been learnt and the same mistakes are being repeated. "Sorry" seems to be the hardest word.

Boakye and his team will never admit that perhaps if they had been more inclusive, it would have been a different story. They did not want Alan or any member of his team. They just wanted his money and resources. This public showdown will only end in tears.

Wherever NDC is found, there is either corruption, stealing, destruction and or killing of innocent humans. NDC came first to kill Ghanaians. For instance, they killed high court judges for no reason; including Justice Koranteng Addow a nursing mother, and two other high court judges among thousands of innocent civilians, burnt them to ashes. NDC came to destroy all the good policies instituted by NPP including GETFUND, School Feeding Program, Free Maternal Care, National Insurance Scheme, District Assembly Common Fund and the Metro Mass Transportation system. They have managed to destroy all of these programs. How callous could they be? And finally they have stolen all assets belonging to Ghana, selling all to themselves. They have stolen Ghana's bulky money in the treasury and last but not the least, they have created Gyeeda, Woyome, Sada, Subah, Merchant Bank, all in the name of judgement debt but rather criminally sharing the monies among themselves. How dare you? I mean how callous are you to behave like this? NDC is typical in stealing, killing and destroying just as Satan the devil.

Apart from the said meetings, Nana's camp did nothing to include him. In summary, Nana's camp by some reasons didn't want Alan involved and at same time feared to neglect him. Therefore, the strategy was made Alan feel unwelcome by their action and inactions. We don't need you but if you stay away, you didn't help.
