I used to admire this man (Arthur Kennedy) a lot. I ranked him one of the most level-headed politicians in Ghana ever. But I have ate back my thoughts. He is more of theoretical politician. He refuses to learn the real, on-the-ground politics, which is why he has woefully failed to make a mark in his political carrier so far. He really needs to learn. 80% of his party's core group cannot be wrong.

He can say whatever he wants but he must be reminded of hos vainglorious tendencies. "The greatest generation of students Ghana has ever known", yes indeed. "Let the blood flow " generation. Those naive students substituted logic and reason with emotions, suspicions, and hatred. How can that be our greatest generation of students? The just imbibed ideologies and slogans with no clear understanding and one sometimes wonder what kind of books they were reading. This young kid is preaching common good and civility while he has always been a stomach politician and lacking any spine. Yes, his fellow young boys may adore and worship him, he must realize they are just as ignorant as he is, together with heir champion "Baby Elephant" Alan Kyerematen who is untested and just attempting to ride his father's reputation and good name to fame. He is as immature as all those singing his tune, Arthur Kennedy leading the chorus.

When people like Arthur K. publicly suggest they have 'political principles',which permits them to violate the peace and unity in the NPP,others question their loyalty to the party. The set of personal principles he now purports to have seem to be different from that of the party. He can do one of two things: (1) drop his 'political principles' for that of the NPP, or (2) leave to form his own party like Tarzan did. He cannot openly castigate decision of the party he claims to be a part and yet expect to be treated like he expects. At best he be described as a traitor, fighting for his parochial interest. Let me remind all the NPP members the argument Nana Akufo-Addo made at the party’s Congress in Sunyani in 1998 in his opposition to giving candidate John Agyekum Kufuor the second chance after losing to Rawlings in 1996. Here was Nana Akufo: “I call on members of the party [NPP] to embrace change in leadership of the party. Such changes are far from harming the fortunes of the party. Change improves the chances of political parties as a new face eventually means new ideas, new methods and new strategies…any candidate elected as the NPP's flag-bearer has already secured 30% of the total valid votes. Failure to garner the remaining 20% plus 1 means the candidate has failed, and therefore must be changed” (ref: Ghana Daily Graphic, October 8, 1998). If John Kufuor back then did not deserve to be nominated for the second consecutive time, why is it okay now for Nana Akufo-Addo to seek the party’s nomination the third consecutive time, having led NPP to two painful electoral defeats in 2008 and 2012? Well, it seems like Nana Akufo-Addo is getting ready to take NPP to the electoral slaughterhouse in 2016 all over again. Let the self-denials ignore the warnings

The problem with you,uncle Arthur K. is that you always choose to do your counseling in the open and I believe by your learning and profession you know that is problematic more particularly in a political party organization as that surely gives ammunition to your opponent. This problem is also with those personalities you have mentioned in your write-up.In every political persuasion we have all manner of characters but all these variant characters are garnered to serve a common purpose hence rules , regulations and channels of communication including appropriate channels of resolving differences in ideas and persuasions.
Change your style of seeking to correct wrongdoing and it shall be well with you in all such endeavors.

They are wolves in sheep's clothing. They are hypocrites, they are unreasonable, they are selfish, they love their gangs more than the nation and they hate the truth - bcos it often hurts. Its all about ego, ego and greed. They want power for their own selfish ends and to satisfy their egos - it has nothing to do with the good of the nation or the wellbeing of the average citizen.

If he did not, then there is an iota of truth in your statement that he's quitely fomenting trouble within the party... If that's the case then It does seem to me that he wants to be president by any means necessary. Your admonishment in the last paragraph of your article should serve as a reminder to him that the Bible says in Psalm 127:1, “Except the Lord himself buildeth, they labour in vain that try to build.”

In this respect Nana Akuffo Addo has once again displayed poor judgment .This will certainly cost him votes should he achieve his ambition to be flag bearer for the NPP in 2016 .

If Kennedy's catalog of this party's issues: persistent internal strife, attempted lynchings, home invasions, threatened poisoning, attacking their own headquarters and the general violence which has characterized this party's history (its provenance being the UP-Ma te me ho party) coupled with its legendary fecklessness at the polls are true, it may just be a good time for him to reassess his membership in this club of miscreants.

While he sounds like an articulate well meaning fellow, this diatribe smacks of naivete, and a profound misunderstanding of the political landscape and the characters who inhabit it. There is no law and order in Ghana; it permeates all aspects of our lives and the fact that it rears its ugly head in his party should be no surprise to him since his party was in power for 8 years and did nothing about it. In fact, Nana Addo was the AG, the minister of justice, and he did nothing about it!!

The reality of it is that the NPP will continue to be thuggish, elitist, ethnocentric misguided tribalists, who like the Republican party in the US where apparently Kennedy spends most of his time, will be sidelined by the sweep of history. Kennedy is just one of its first prominent victims.

Arthur K, you could channel your attacks against the NDC, but everybody who reads your pronouncements concludes that you are up to something against someone. When everybody have come to the conclusion that only one man can save the party at this time, you try everything you can to destroy the majority's choice as if you know better than everyone else.
If it is true that you laid down your life to defend democracy, you would have known what it feels to have sacrificed your life for a good cause and then be vilified the way you and other are futilely trying to do to a comrade of yours. Nobody should shy away from divergent views, but the views people like you have been expressing bothers more on hatred than political divergence! Your are just personal attacks which could be channeled against the opposite party rather than against fellows party members. That is what makes some of us doubt whether you are truly a member of the Elephant family!
We will all accept progressive contributions to help lift Ghana from this abysmal state, but if some of you think you can destroy one person's credibility for your own selfish desires, then think twice.
And stop quoting from the Bible, because we are all God's children and expect to receive God's blessings on all that we do.

I was your junior at Presec when you led the aluta which eventually led to the removal of Rev Kojo Matey as the headmaster.Looking back, that was a big mistake since your radical views belong to jungle and this is why you scored a big "zero" during the NPP convention.

Your negative actions reveal the pain and bitterness you continue to suffer as you feel marginalized by the NPP. You see you can always jump to the opposing party since you of all people started praising JJ the muderer and of course that would earn you the big title "TRAITOR IN CHIEF".

My advise to you is to learn from other politicians who put away the egoistic agendas and played positive roles in their parties..John Kerry. Hillary Clinton, Howard Dean. Learn from these matured politician and stop disgracing yourself. Stick to medicine and step aside from politics.

You claim you are a Christian but the way you have sought to destroy Akuffo Addo, even no NDC fanatic has ever gone to that extent. Let me tell you, Nana Akuffo Addo is a very nice person and has done a lot to deepen our infant democracy by his respect for the rule of law, tolerance, respect for everybody, see the good in other people and humility. He at least deserve some respect even if you would disagree with him. Sadly, you treat Nana as a school boy by your baseless constant accusations which even his political opponents know they are not true. Is that how a Christian acts? You were a few months ago calling for a repeat of the June 4th revolution, who is more violent? My piece of advise to you is that always realize as it is written in Galatians 6:7, 'Do not be deceived, God is not mocked,...whatever a man sows so also shall he reap.....'. Show humility, love and respect to those who deserve them and you will receive same in kind.
