May be he has settled for a "job" in government period instead of pursuing his ambitions. He definitely sounds phony with his speeches -- considering he called them team B. Mills' team was better than Mahama's which he rated as a "B". His new strategy of faking it won't work.

If I may ask, is the NDC new party school another communist ideological institution? The Young Pioneers implanted by Nkrumah in our midst did more harm than good to the development of this country when they usurped power from 1972 to 2001.

Our experience with the quack neo-communists is that, they seize power unjustifiably through coups and counter coups, and Ghanaians only suffer dictatorship, tyranny, corruption and economic mismanagement under them. The NDC being in power now for six years has again failed to improve the economy simply because their fundamentals are wrong. In fact, they don't have what it takes to salvage the sinking economy.

Under normal circumstances, political parties are formed to produce leaders democratically. But in the case of NDC, a tyrant created the party with state power and resources to legitimize his illegitimate regime and cling to power fraudulently. NDC is therefore, an artificial and illegitimate party followed by stomach politicians and sycophants.

I would always blame Kuffour for this stupid debacle; all NPP needed was a mere 50,000 votes to retain power, but Kuffour in his disdain for Akkufo Addo opted to let Mills 'win'.

Now Mahamah is talking about retirement in 2020, and expect NPP to come back to power in 2016?..... forget it.

The IMF is raising issues about how the Mahama NDC gov't is managing public finance from the huge amounts of Eurobonds that they have raised because the infrastructure does not seem to support the bonds raised. We would recall that Dr. Bawumia asked very pointed questions about what has been achieved in terms of infrastructure from all the borrowed money that the Mahama NDC gov't had contracted. Indeed, it was because of this same issue, which prompted Nana Akufo Addo, to ask his rather poignant question; "NA SIKA NO WO H3" literally translated to man, where is the money, because we cannot see the infrastructure projects. Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Christine Lagarde, has cautioned African countries against piling up debts through excessive bonds issue.

According to her, unless Ghana and other African states are borrowing from the international market to finance infrastructure, Eurobonds may not be a good thing.

"I think it (Eurobonds issues)should be done with measure like every thing. No excess, no abuse", she said.

Ghana and other countries like Ivory Coast, Rwanda, Kenya and Zambia have recently turned to the international capital market to raise billions of dollars for various projects.

Last month, a third Eurobond to raise $1 billion by Ghana was over subscribed.

The $1 billion bond has a 12-year maturity, with a coupon rate of 8.125%. The bond matures in 2026.

According to the Ghana government the $1 billion Eurobond will be used to fund capital expenditure in the 2014 Budget and counterpart funding for pipeline projects and the refinancing of domestic and external debt.

On June 16 2014, Kenya successfully issued two tranches of a maiden Eurobond ($500m, 5.875% due 2019 and $1.5bn, 6.875% due 2024) in order to support infrastructural developments in road, railway and healthcare.

Speaking at a news conference on the sidelines of the on-going IMF/World Bank Annual meetings in Washingtoin DC, Madam Lagarde said proper management of funds from bonds must be a crucial consideration among countries pursing that venture.

"We are currently working with the Fiscal Affairs Department [of the IMF] for specific research work to actually focus on how public finance and civil service in each country can actually well serve the discharge of major infrastructure projects and we will make that expertise available to all our members", Madam Lagarde said.

According to her apart from focusing funds from Eurobond on infrastructure, it is important to make sure Ghana and other African countries appreciate the benefits of good public finance management in ensuring efficiency of infrastructure.

Let Ghanaians be open minded in terms their jobs, rewards those who do good jobs period.Most of the public office employees think the government have to do everything,and they would take the income without any performance. We need a new culture in our government which is ready to fire and hire new people, educate this generation about competition in the open economy and promote more entrepreneurship within the country and strengthening education to compete to the international market.
