I will give you an example, Just yesterday, he used the word 'PARTNERSHIP when cutting the tape in open a brand new school. That word 'partnership' turned me off in spite of the fact that I was excited about the project. Why? Professor opened a lot of schools with the backing of China and the rest yet never for once would you hear professor Mills focusing on the importance of China or Japan to Ghana so extensively. The good prof always focus expensively on how it will help solve the problems of the people in that area and the nation as whole while thanking the sponsors. That is how Presidents communicate. We are building a nation, not partnerships

Do you feel ashamed if you can not speak Ga or Ewhe or Twi ? No, we do not even if we speak it badly, so why all the fixation on English if that is not bordering on stupidity.
Let's develop one language for Ghana and if that is Twi let be it, or else we're not going to develop they we want it.

Our biggest problem is illiteracy and the subject has become a taboo, especially with the rise of access to IT all semi-illiterates are saying things in an attempt to impress; we’re in serious trouble because in your own village if you try to speak English instead of people emulating you they tend to think you are Mr. Know-All or you want to say you are different. However, the official language of the Republic of Ghana is English. During the first republic efforts were made to stabilize Ghanaian languages, headquartered at Saltpond, the bureau produced books, newspapers written in Fante, Ga, Asante Twi, Akwapim Twi, Ewe, Dagbani and Nzema. Then after the overthrow of Nkrumah we abandoned all programmes. Now the world is becoming smaller with globalization and ethnicity has lost its place; however, backward people are still living in the past.

Ghanaians are so stupid to think speaking english is something to be proud of. There're many english ppl and Americans who speak english but are not educated and can't tell you where Ghana is.

But what is this fuss? A really serious politician must have known by now that the official language of the Republic of Ghana is “English”. When at independence special efforts were made to promote Ghanaian languages, with a fully functional language Centre at Saltpond, followed by reading books and newspaper publications in Asante Twi, Akuapem Twi, Ga. Dagbani, Nzema and Ewe your masters thought it was a bad idea so in order not to waste money the programme was scrapped among many other development projects. Not every Ghanaian is obliged to understand local language and we know those conservatives who are not willing to progress use this kind of line to attract voter who are also not willing to progress. Nobody speaks local language at UN or OAU or ECOWAS meetings, not even in Ghana parliament, who what is this woman talking about if not just drawing attention to herself to compensate any lack of seriousness she may present?

Well, just to please our colonial masters.
Regardless the choice of words, you still cannot outsmart the Englishman. THAT'S WHY GOD GAVE YOU A LANGUAGE. And I think BIG BIG brofo from our Prez is not a bad idea, he can even maximize the brofo to its proverbial form in speech form. The same Englishman will tell you "who cares"
