Some people who stood against him voted but when it came to the counting, they never had a vote at the centers they even voted. This tells you that Rawlings stole the two elections. In the case of his predecessors, they all selected someone from the north to win their votes. That`s the system in the society.

We all know that is the truth but, Ghanaians do not like speaking the truth. All parties in Ghana from the start of party politics select candidates and vices partly based on their ethnicity and faith to appease the electorate. Ghanaians fear the truth and he spoke the truth. They are pretending as if he has committed blasphemy by saying so. What a country is this? Always copying the Americans - they hate when the truth is spoken. Please do not copy blindly.
On a side note, I am NDC and just want to let the NPPs know that, continuing doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result is considered insanity - a word to the wise is enough.

The consideration has always been to have a south -north ticket . Therefore we saw Prof Mills selection of Martin Amidu in 2000, Lawyer Mumuni in 2004 and John Mahama in 2008. John Mahama also picked Amissah Arthur in 2012. It is a plus for any political party that chooses a presidential candidate or running mate who is a Muslim from the north due to the dominance of Islam in the north.
These NDC critics should rather be asked why Jerry Rawlings refused to pick a northerner as his running mate on two occasions? He first picked Ackah and later Mills which was a slap in the face of northerners.

Does this surprise anyone? Nana Akufo-Addo's entire political style is based on divisiveness, intimidation, lies and self-aggrandizements. He has succeeded in driving a wedge between the Akyem and Ashanti factions of NPP and now he's trying to do the same between Muslims and Christians who have lived together peacefully and in harmony for the longest time. If Bawumia with his doctorate cannot see that this man has no respect not only for Muslims but Northerners in general then I feel sorry for him. Just make the mistake of voting him into power and you will see what a sad place Ghana will become. I love my country and so will make sure he does not get my vote. I will also leave no stone unturned to ensure their criminal style of politics is given the boot the 3rd and final time. If NPP want to rule Ghana again they must first recognise that Ghana is above any particular individual or group of people, then they must change tack and make themselves more attractive to as wide a cross section of Ghanaians as possible. Then they must prove that their politics is not ethnocentric then we may think again about trying them in office. Until those are achieved no amount of preaching and aligning yourselves with various religious groups will make any difference.

We do not need to use his comment in the Mosque against him, especially now that Religious feuds are spreading around in our sub-region. We need Peace to solve our Economic problems.
If the Author of the Article doubts Dr. Bawumia's credentials let him or her show us his reasons, and not hide behind his message in the Mosque to attack him. If anyone could be effectively attacked with that comment in the Mosque, it has to be the NPP Flagbearer who chose Dr. Bawumia, and not Dr. Bawumia, himself. Akufo-Addo might then have chosen Dr. Bawumia for the wrong reasons. For the NPP, it makes no difference, either way. Akufo-Addo may as well have succeeded in killing two birds with one stone--preempting "Boko Haram-ish" siege in Ghana and getting someone capable of bringing some sanity into the Economy, all in one person.
