Just because Gamei are in a minority on their own land does not mean they should be taken for granted in Accra. Ayikoi Otoo is stating precisely the unwritten rule. This was the rule Da Rocha and Odoi Skyes used. It works and affords respect for the people of the land everywhere in Ghana.

  This is a rubbish suggestion to reserve some mp seats for the gas,.The chiefs in ga traditional areas are all gas,again current and past greater Accra ministers are gas, under npp the minister for modernisation of Accra the capital was a ga and all past and current mayor have been gas but at the end of the day Accra the capital has been full of firlt & dirt's resulting in outbreak of cholera 20000 cases with 2000 deaths.To be an mp in ga land one must have lived in ga for some years and educated,competent and have leadership skills.The procedure for choice should be by election and not selection mainly reserved for one tribe because of they are the indigens..

  It's not about tribalism, concerning the proposal the npp brought before the Ga's. Evolution is taking place in our modern society. It must be so for the indigenous Ga's. Don't mess with the Ga's anymore . They slept too long in the darkness,and now the challenge has been thrown to them. Whether we non Ga's like it or not, now is the time to turn things around.its part of our democracy and it beauty as whole.
