I'm not sure if the npp intentionally put him there to misuse him as we are witnessing. But one interesting sad aspect of it all is their/his unpatriotic behaviour against this country which we all call our country. Where on earth will an opposition party try to paint his own country black by such behaviour? By the way, was Bawumia invited to that so called University owned by a known npp member, for academic lectures or he was invited for political campaign? Why will the npp always take delights in running down this country? And this is the same country they want to rule. Isn't it interesting and pathetic that the npp is jubilating over the case involving Ghana and the Ivory Coast and outrightly ruling in favour of the Ivory Coast? You made an error which you agreed you made, what is preventing the AfDB from apologizing and keep the matter to rest? What they don't know is that bigger institutions tried what they think they are doing but failed miserably. This NDC government's fingers are dripping of blood, infact their hands are soaked in blood so much that nothing works for them. Defending them is just a waste of time. In 2009, if the AfDB is not idling, there could recollect that Ghana was a vibrant middle income country, the aspirations for many. Where are we as Ghana are now? HIPC!!!. So what is the AfDB defending if you blacklisted Ghana? Well if you don't have anything to do in Abidjan, just move to Accra where there are a lot of jobless graduates, idle hands, minds, and brainless talkers. Just come and join them. AfDB will be welcome to the talking and blame shifting game. There should be seriousness and small decorum from this third world based Bretton Woods institution called AfDB. Dr. Bawumia credibility is always at good standing in the face of Ghana. As Deputy at the heart of Ghana economy under Kuffuor administration things were better. One cannot simply have all the truthful documents from a current regime to fight his regime. We shall all see "the truth length of a frog we he/she dies". The truth shall come out. How long will the so call IMF help countries to ruin? Most countries where IMF helped went from good to bad. Greece is one of the examples.

The Mahama NDC gov't has been most irresponsible with meeting it's debt obligations and statutory fiduciary responsibilities, and has thus courted international and domestic odium and opprobrium for the good citizens of this country.
Did Ghana owe the AfDB? Did they address the debt situation in a timely manner as per the dictates of whatever agreements they had with the bank? Did that trigger sanctions pending the settlement of the debt? Did the settlement of the debt take anything away from the triggering of those sanctions?
Does the Mahama NDC gov't owe the NHIS? Does the Mahama NDC gov't owe the GETFUND? Does the Mahama NDC gov't owe the DACF? Does the Mahama NDC gov't owe the VRA? Does the Mahama NDC gov't owe the ECG? Does the Mahama NDC gov't owe Ngas?
The thing is it is just like a credit card and in this regard I make the analogy with respect to the AfDB saga.
You have a credit facility which you draw for expenses like food, clothing, utilities, fuel/gas, etc, etc they bring you a statement at the end of the month, and set a date by which the credit needs to be paid. You don't pay interest accrues on it, it is reported to the credit bureau, your credit score rating goes down. It is just plain rudimentary.
So the issue at stake here is, for the Mahama NDC gov't to stop looting Ghanaian taxpayers money and be responsible in paying it's debt obligations on time or negotiate with it's creditors for a deferral if, it cannot make such payments on time instead of attacking Dr. Bawumia, whose only fault is to bring to the notice and the attention of this Mahama NDC gov't the prudence of excellent responsible management and fiscal discipline.
This has nothing to do with Dr. Bawumia's credibility but the outrageous irresponsibility and mismanagement of this Mahama-led NDC gov't on the back of corruption, looting and plunder, incompetence and cluelessness which has plunged Ghana into the doldrums.
