The Elections 2012 Vice Presidential Candidate of the Convention Peoples Party (CPP) Nana Akosua Frimpomaa Sarpong has defrauded an investment company of an amount of GH?250,000.00.

The company; CIDAN Investment and their lawful attorney is to collaborate with the appropriate security agencies to launch “operation hunt for the property of Nana Frimpomaa,” to defray the debt.

In an interview Dr Raziel Obeng-Okon, Chief Executive Officer of CIDAN Investment explained that the operation will target both movable and unmovable property of the running mate to Dr. Michael Abu Sakara Foster, CPP Elections 2012 Presidential Candidate.

Nana Frimpomaa formerly the Dwantoahemaa of the Dormaa Traditional Area has over the past one year failed to honour a Consent Judgement by the High Court of Justice, Commercial Division, Accra on suit no BFS/488/2010 which spells out the terms for settlement.

“This terms of settlement is made 26th day of March of 2014 between CIDAN Investment and Advisory Services Limited (hereinafter called the Creditor) acting per their lawful attorney Ernest Tanor of the one party and Nana Frimpomaa for and on behalf of the Defendants herein, of Accra in the Greater Accra Region (hereinafter called the Debtor) of the other part.

“Whereas: by an agreement made between the parties, the Creditor provided financial assistance in the sum of GH?400,000.00 to the Debtor on 23 of October 2009.

“The Debtor as at date has paid GH?350,000.00 leaving a balance of GH?597,645.00 comprising an agreed interest rate of 8 per cent and a penal rate of 5 per cent to be paid to the Creditor.

“The parties have agreed that the Debtor shall pay an amount of GH?250,000.00 as a full and final payment for the said debt.

“Now therefore it is agreed: that the Debtor shall pay on or before May 26, 2014 from the date hereof the sum of GH?50,000.00 as a first tranche of their obligation to the Creditor.

“That the Debtor shall pay a sum of GH?20,000.00 per month for ten months commencing the end of 30 June 2014 to liquidate the remaining GH?200,000.00”.

The terms of settlement with the stamp and signature of the Registrar Commercial Division embossed on it was signed jointly by Lawyer Ernest Tanor on behalf of the Creditor and Nana Frimpomaa the Debtor on April 9, 2014.

Helping underlings out,is nothing new in our 'clientelist'[patron-client]type of politics. Indeed, Owusu Afriyie himself,was a struggling inner-city Lawyer in London, before Mr. Kufour brought him down to Ghana, and offered him a plum sinecure at GNPC.

Just asking. It seems to me that it is strategic planning. Every organization and individuals must be able to see beyond today and strategize for the opportunities that may pop up in the event that todays calculations and efforts don't bare fruit. Yes, any strategic NPP man hoping to be President of Ghana ought to factor into his calculation of the possibility that John Mahama like Nkrumah, like Rawlings, like Kuffour can win the 2016 elections and complete his two terms and therefore not qualified to stand again. The playing field becomes a bit fairer and the incumbency factor reduced. this is the political terrain under which a candidate from an Opposition Party has the best chance of winning elections against a new candidate from the ruling Party. It has nothing to do with preventing Nana Addo from winning elections in 2016. Those who fail to plan strategically are doomed for failure. Any NPP candidate for 2020 elections will have a better chance if Mahama clinches 2016. There is no victory at all cost now, it may not just happen. It is like hoping against hope to win an away match at the home grounds of a strong opponent. When the incumbent President is no longer contesting, chances are enhanced for an opposition candidate to defeat to defeat the successor. Simple strategic reasoning. Call it Agenda 2020 if you like. But what is wrong with thinking and planning strategically?

The fact Ghana has exported $13.6B US dollars in oil in the immediate past and we cannot have electricity is due to vision and competence. Intentions are good but they don’t put banku in front of us.

The dumsor problem is a huge mis-calculation on the part of the numerous advisors to the president and this has caused an irreparable damage to the image of the NDC

My take on it, would be to humbly accept mistakes have been made and that it is being fixed instead of the attack dogs mentality

President Kufuor does not owe you or any Akufo-Addo hack any such responsibility. Where was Akufo-Addo when his Nephew, Professor Okoampa-Ahoofe, Jr. and others were dragging the name of the former President through mud? Could he ever take to the Media to admonish those miscreant fools to lay off the President? Akufo-Addo cannot claim to have been unaware of the insults rained on President Kufuor by his minions.

If Nana did not see it fit to use the same Media that conveyed the insults on President Kufuor and Alan and others to register his disapproval of such tactics, President Kufuor does not need to do more than what he has already done or is currently doing to help the NPP win the Elections in 2016.

Many, like me, who saw the unfairness to the President, and the danger for the NPP in that spate of unwise verbal assaults on President Kufuor by Nana's faction strongly protested against that, and received in return yet a worse ravaging onslaught of insults from those perpetrators.

I cautioned those offenders from Nana's faction that they could be miscalculating that simply because folks are disgruntled with NDC would not automatically translate into Akufo-Addo's win in 2016. This is because if the Kufuor's faction is isolated by those insults they could at best, only choose to vote for NPP Parliamentary candidates to send the Party into a majority but not for Nana to win the Presidency.

That likelihood still exists. If Nana and his gang were any serious and counting on Kufuor' faction to assemble the core NPP votes for Nana, then Nana's faction is the entity encumbered with the greater responsibility and expected commitment to ensure just that. Not the other way around.

He, Sir John, may not be part of the scheme that Mr. Ampong lamented about as intended to destroy President Kufuor's legacy in the Party. However, Sir John did not prove Mr. Ampong wrong. Evidence abound in how very high-level, close associates of Akufo-Addo, like Professor Kwame Okoampa-Ahoofe, Jr. and Boakye Agyarko, have lashed out excoriating insults at the former President and his faction of NPP for not doing enough to help Akufo-Addo win the Presidency in the two previous Elections.

Sir John cannot, now, deny the existence of any such scheme, if he did not see it fit to do so at the very beginning of those assaults on President Kufuor, more than a year ago. The former chief scribe of the NPP and Akufo-Addo's leading lieutenant, cannot deny seeing those horrible assaults in the Media, or hearing of them elsewhere all that while.

The Public cannot be fooled by such weak refutation by Sir John. What Mr. Ampong claimed has empirical evidence to support it. What Sir John provided to counter that claim is nothing but obvious instances of President Kufuor's contribution to the Nation that all Ghanaians appreciate and Akufo-Addo and his minions cannot erase. People already know that the perfidy against President Kufuor by Nana's faction of the NPP is based on spurious reasons, and have consequentially been incensed about it.

We do not need Sir John's late cleansing efforts to prove otherwise. If Sir John sincerely wants to mend any fences between Kufuor's faction and Nana's, he simply has to lead in rendering unqualified apology to the former President for all the insults rained on him by Nana's side.

In fact, Sir John was part of the undemocratic eruption to impose Nana on NPP as unopposed, thereby setting up Alan and President Kufuor for targets of insults by Nana's supporters who did not appreciate Alan's contest for the Flagbearer, and held that President Kufuor always preferred Alan to Nana.

So, let Sir John shelve his sanctimonious face-saving tirade, and quit calling Mr. Ampong names. Between Mr. Ampong, and Sir John, the Public can easily see who is telling what most likely could be the truth, based upon facts.
