Mr Ampong, are you really telling us you have only just come to realise the true violent, tribalistic, war-mongering nature of the party you belong to? Why do you think that since independence the NPP has only won general elections a couple of times? Please do not count the era of Kofi Busia because the elections of 1969 was not fought on a level play ground. Remember, Afrifa, Kotoka and Ankra had disbanded the CPP and the party could not contest. The goal posts had been moved and open for Kofi Busia's so-called Progres Party. Your party has never been united in any true sense of the word. As far as they are concerned, Ghana is a property of the Akans and therefore any elections not won by your party has to be challenged. Your party made it abundantly clear at the tail end of the independence struggle that if they couldn't have federal Ghana, then they didn't even want the independence. Why?. Because they knew Nkrumah would be the Head of State and he is an Nzema man !!.Violence and tribalism are the two main hallmarks of your party. You only have to listen to Ken Agyapong and Akufo Addo, to name but just two.
Your party is imploding before our very eyes. So quit while you can and join the NDC. You will be welcomed and treated well. Do not allow bloodthirsty elements of your party deprive you of a bright future. A word to the wise is enough.

Is this the moment for strong unity to show solidarity to support party leadership for unity in a political party or time to say I'm quitting? The problem Ghana has is having intellectual retarded in politics who do not fully understand what is politics as they do not read to make research to comprehend the sociology and methodologies of political practices.

How do you quit in the face of inter party struggle which is normal any way in all political party dispensations. Geo-political history tells there is no successful human society that has not gone through some negative or positive transformations.

A formidable and strong winning political party is a party with dedicated and reliable people who do not quit in the face of challenges but stand the time to overcome.

Ampong do not be a coward to say because of one man in the struggle for a dynamic change to better the lives of your people you are setting yourself to run away.

Stand firm to your believes and do not chicken out for bitterness and internal political struggle is part of corrections to success, especially in politics.

Michael Ampong it is ok to feel the way you do, in fact, with the way things have unfolded within the past couple of years, finally culminating in the death of Mahama Adams, the Regional Chairman, you are perfectly within your rights to consider resigning from the NPP. Consideration of your proposed action, in itself shows that, you still see an opportunity for the NPP to be the party and gov't, Ghana wants it to be, which is a party with the competence, the human resource capacity, the intelligence, the vision and the humility to address the Ghana agenda of growth and development in freedom.
That window of opportunity is what needs to be exploited to commit to the Ghana agenda, because the growth and development of this country is bigger than any party and it is bigger than any individual.
Ghana and Ghanaians are deserving of this agenda.
Ghana and Ghanaians have struggled and continue to struggle as a people to reach our fullest potential and all God created us to be, and this is not the time to give up, this is not the time to walk away from the party that Ghanaians see as their hope for shared prosperity, social mobility, the pursuit of happiness and freedom.
It has never been an easy road and it doesn't promise to be one, but where there is a will, there is a way.
You talk of how some people have sacrificed so much for this party, guess what, nobody who has decided to join the greatest and biggest political tradition in Ghana since times of yore, have not gone through some sacrifices. For some it involved the loss of lives from the 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's, and now. For some it involved the loss of property within a similar time frame. For some it involved the loss of family within a similar time frame, for some it involved the loss of dearly loved ones within a similar time frame all for the pursuit of freedom, all for the pursuit of happiness, all for the pursuit for man's right to live freely and prosper and be all what one wants to be in dignity, in tolerance, without fear, peacefully and forbearing one another building on our familial differences and forging ahead as a single unitary entity, in that, we rise or fall together.
Those ideals still rings true as ever today since the dawn of this political tradition. It has never changed. If anything at all, it has assumed an urgency of it's own looking at the suffering, the hardships, the difficulties, the hopelessness, the despair, the palpable cloud of uncertainty as to whether Ghana will live again, as to whether our dear country Ghana will rise again, as to whether the future of this country is assured, as to whether this country which in the last decade and half was on a meteoric rise to the top, will ever transition the deepening crisis of stagnation and retrogression that has plagued this country.
This is not the time to even consider resigning. Ghanaians need you, the NPP needs you, to hold true to these ideals of the Ghana agenda, to help bring about the change you want to see and the smiles you want to see on the faces of every Ghanaian. It is an honest and noble call.
It is a much bigger calling, it is a much bigger purpose, it is a much bigger audacity for hope, you have earned it and Ghana and Ghanaians are looking up to the NPP to bring about this Change.
The time for this change draws nigh, Ghana cannot fail, Ghana cannot go back, the NPP cannot give up, Ghana and the NPP can only move forward. It has been done before and it would be done again, because Ghanaians are tired of the bad governance, Ghanaians are tired of the bad leadership, Ghanaians are tired of the hopelessness, the despair and the unending cycle of hardship, difficulty and poverty that has been the lot of this country for close to the 3 decades this P(NDC) political grouping has been at the helm of governance. It is time for Change because Ghana and Ghanaians deserve it. In all humility would you be that instrument of Change that Ghana and Ghanaians are yearning for?

I will be very surprised if Afoko and Kwabena Agyapong really have a hand in this killing because taking people out are done at a time where there will be no suspicion or links to those who planned and execute it.l will not believe Afoko and Agyapong are that stupid to take out Mahama Adam just days after a slight misunderstanding at Bolga in such a manner to raise accusing fingers at them by everyone just because of what happened just days before.This act appears to be the handwork of some people or a party who stands to gain if NPP disintegrates because of percieved fractionalism between Kuffour and Akuffo Addo.
