  Strong headed executives of this constituency or NPP, what decision are you going to take in a few days? Only one choice left here, open contest. I don't get Otchere Darko view on this issue, these people in the constituency have demonstrated their maturity in democracy better than the party executives. They want to end the culture of choosing candidates before election. Rawlings did it with Mills at Swedru declaration and it backfired so I did not know the sensibility of the party executives to have chosen someone for affirmation or acclamation. The next reasonable and in fact the only sensible thing for the party to do is not to convince the delegates to change their mind, but to open registration for whoever wants to contest and then the better winner will emerge. Unfortunately, is as simple as that, stop bullying people in Ghana and let them exercise their true franchise.

  If they don't know their own Party electoral guidelines, how can they ever understand national guidelines not to mention accept electoral results? This party NPP is Ghana's Biggest Headache. Very proud self procliamed lawyers ...

  Why the panic. It's clear the local organising committee were caught unawares when Mr Senakey was presented as the sloe candidate.
  The least the Electoral Commission could do is to allow the local committee to reorganise and come up with a couple of candidates for the process. The secretary, Mr Gilbert Amanor has got his job cut out for him for the next few days. At least he has ample time to reconvene. ?
