If this was soccer they will be flying money around the world. Doctors should hold firm and strike. Maybbe Ghanaians nee to reassess who they elect and their own priorities. Some will say people are dying. Well guess what people die everyday because of government's inability to provide simple basic resources for docs and nurses. I have met many fine ghana educated docs here who get frustrated anf leave.

Agreed.I came home to help but this is why I left Ghana again. Exactly so the CHAG couldn't get my name on Government pay roll for more than a year because of Government policies. Not just NDC but all political parties have taken the healthcare delivery for granted for too long. Show good-will and good leadership this time.

Prof, you are appealing to Ghana Murderers Association. Good luck. If they had both head and heart they would at least have made alternative arrangements for others to cater for the sick.

Did you say Ghanaians have done nothing wrong? I beg to differ! We voted an incompetent bunch of leaders into power.... that's what we did!!1 Many of the Leaders in the current government are there to feed themselves and not to work for the people. Many are square pegs in round holes where competence is mostly demonstrated by how much bullshit you can spill out! Many have little or no understanding how to fix problems. They just occupy and spin and steal and fatten up and bribe to get re-elected again! Many have no clear performance objectives to deliver to the people. Did you say Ghanaians have done nothing wrong? think again

The solution to the recovery of Ghana's weak economy lies in the hands of Ghanaians. If every Ghanaian worker (from the President to the office cleaner)sacrifice 25% of our salary, will make a difference. Ghana wouldnt have gone to IMF for a "string attached loan". If corruption stop and my suggestion above is taken, the government will be able to meet some of the demands of workers and strikes and civil unrest will be a thing of the past
