People who have known him up close ,will tell you that he still remains the sly and dubious old Lawrence Addai, the gargantuan and imposing name change notwithstanding.
Has this guy ever associated himself with any worthwhile and noble causes?
Was he not the individual, who deliberately sought to drag our beloved Otumfuo into that nasty and petty political squabble he and others within the NPP leadership engineered to destabilize this nation; a 'stupid enterprise' which His Majesty wisely rebuffed?
again, as leader of the Ashanti Caucus in parliament, what has this so-called leader done to quell the incessant demonstrations to derail the Kejetia-Cental Market Re-Development Project? In fact, can he deny accusations that he is working with the likes of Antwi-Boasiako [Wontumi], to block the smooth execution of this showpiece for Kumasi and Ashanti Region as a whole?
Last but not the least, was kit not this same Kyei Mensah-Bonsu, who was adding fuel to the poitical woes of Paul Afoko and Kwabena Agyepong, at the very time the duo was fighting for their lives, by announcing to the entire universe that the two gentlemen had flown on the same flight to Kumasi with him, under beefed- up security, on the orders of President Mahama; insinuating that there was something very sinister or unusual about such a directive.
Can you imagine that this a person, who claims to be part of a recurring and regular Monday morning meeting involving their current Flagbearer, can engage in such a petty mischief?
The last I checked, this character, who has never been under any threat of bodily harm or siege, is still enjoying the services of a special 24/7 security detail, provided by the State!
Think about these points I have outlined above folks, and judge for yourself if this a leader this country needs to move forward.
