The professional obligations and the effectiveness of the Ghana Police Service itself seems to have been largely compromised by the foolishness of the two main political parties. Had it not been so, the NDC chap who made this silly statement should be promptly invited by the Police to answer questions related to his derogatory statements against the 'integrity' of the Police. If, as a result, he is unable to acquit himself, he should be charged with criminal libel and put before court. Its as simple as that.

A country that has not got an effective, competent and respectable Police force is doomed to retrogress and collapse into chaos.

I have a lot of doubts about the operations of the Ghana Police Service myself, but we cannot allow the situation to deteriorated by brazenly stupid and irresponsible comments by backward members of the public who are hiding behind the cover of equally irresponsible political parties to foment anarchy.

We all know that Kofi Boakye would have done exactly something like what I have suggested above, but his superiors in the service, who were appointed by the sitting govt, will prevent him from doing what is right, proper and in the best interest of the development of the Ghana Police service and the country as a whole.

Doesn't he know that when the spirit of the police is dampened law and order will break in the country?
