None the less, akans sometimes use the day a person you were named after's day to your name and leave the day you were born eg.if you were born on monday : kwadwo but the person you were named after was Yaw Osafo, instead of Kwadwo safo they call you Yaw Osafo but your real day was Kwadwo. It could be that was what happened , the day changes but the date remains the same.Its good you found out, but names can be adopted.

Every town, village and hamlet in Gonjaland has received a facelift with new facilities such as roads, toilet facilities, markets, mosques, good quality water projects, electricity extension projects, etc. The question is did J. J. Rawlings do the same thing to Voltarians when he was in power for twenty years? What about Atta Mills. The good old Prof was in power for three and a half years yet he was not selfish to only concentrate on his people in Ekumfi Etuam and the central Region but rather his whole thought was for the general good. No wonder under the care of Prez Mills, Ghana achieved a growth rate of 11%, single digit inflation and the smooth implementation of the Single Spine Pay Policy where newly recruited police personnel received the nominal equivalence of 500dollars as monthly salary. Compare these achievements to the nepotism and selfish policies of the Mahama government that has crippled the Ghanaian economy. I really weep for Ewes and Fantis whose votes brought Mahama to power and yet are the hardest hit by the current hardship prevailing in the country.

Kabila seems to be hallucinating. Despite all the resurgence of Nkrumah's visions and popularity, both in Ghana and abroad, the CPP has failed to capitalize on the opportunity presented to advance.

The Party still remains a pitiful shadow of itself, even with the few intellectual gems blinking around to hint of the aspirations it could lead the Nation on.

The CPP seems to be bogged down in personality feuds, and lacks financial resources and the moral courage to persuade the Youths to fill its ranks.

I still stand by my long held view that the CPP could only come back to Power as an incarnation with some other name. Many have objected that the name change alone would not do much to help it. Well, there is a long adage that asks: "What's in a name". There is a cogent time-tested reason for such a thought-provoking question.

In the very least, evidence abound that the Youths hate to be directly or closely associated with a past Political Party that has been so badly defamed as the CPP, whether or not the facts prove it innocent.

It is easier for folks to join a Party with a different name claiming to share the ideals of a past Political Party of CPP's reputation. It is not enough to invoke Nkrumah's name as the founder of the Party. Folks know that the CPP of old is not necessarily what exists today. And more importantly, the Party must not keep fighting its old battles with the long extinct UP/NML. It is like fighting with a ghost.

The CPP ought to be concentrating on modernizing to achieve the best ideals Nkrumah had for Ghana, as well as showing a maturity that allows it adopt the best of its opponents in the Past. That create a sense of wider belonging for all folks to feel better at home joining.

I have given specific examples with the success of UP/NLM incarnates like the PP, PFP, and then NPP, as well as Dr. Liman's (Abe) PNP. At no time have the Busia/Danquah/Dombo descendants decided to keep the old, worse defamed UP/NLM name for subsequent incarnations. That tactical nomenclature takes care of much of the psychological cleansing of the roots of the Parties that were so badly soiled. (Punt intended).
