He sees nothing wrong with Tsatsu clandestinely collecting an illegal Ghs 1million but had problem with Chief Kufuor forming a consortium to build a hotel. To date they could not prove anything against the son of Kufuor. Personally I don't have a problem with him accepting this appointment, but should have discussed it with his CPP just as Nduom did if he was truly a member and not wait to be dismissed.

The fact that Pratt has taken up Government Appointment does not make him a member of the NDC. Just as Nduom was appointed a Cabinet Minister by President Kufuor but was not necessarily a member of NPP, so could Pratt be seen as having accepted an Official Position in the Government but not abandoning his Party.
Sometimes folks like Obiri Yeboah make assertions that lead us to wonder how they even acquired their intellectual credentials. The argument Mr. Yeboah submits to denigrate Mr. Pratt for accepting the Government Appointment is not only puerile and lame, but also connotes a certain vile pent-up hatred for Mr. Pratt and Mr. Yeboah's lack of patriotism.
I read a similar denunciation of Mr. Pratt by some of his CPP leaders for accepting the Government position. That CPP reaction is also as infantile as is unenlightened.
We all must understand that each true patriot's first devotion must be to his or her Country, not a Political Party. So, anyone could be called upon by the Government to come help serve the nation, however different their Party affiliations are from the Government's.
It is this kind of implied withdrawal of constructive inputs to the Service of the Nation, for Partisan reasons, by those who have essential capabilities, that has partly impeded Ghana's progress.
When a conference is called by the incumbent Administration for all knowledgeable Ghanaians to contribute opinions for salvaging the Economy, and others are ordered by their Parties to refrain from participating, any subsequent shortfall in performance by the Administration could not become the sole responsibility of the Government's. The Parties that withheld their members' participation share in the failure as well.
In fact, those Parties would have amply proven to be despicably unpatriotic. Any significant contribution from the Opposition to help the incumbent Government succeed could still be used to shore up the Opposition's claim of better alternative Government. All that the Opposition Parties would have to do, after helping, is to point to their contributions to persuade the Electorate that they are even more capable to deliver greater feats than they helped the incumbent with.
Meanwhile, they could also use such patriotic benevolence to bolster their commitment to serving the Nation selflessly.
But by these assaults on Mr. Pratt for accepting the Government Position, these Opposition Parties are registering to the Electorate that they would rather have the Nation drown in problems to give them the maximum justification for replacing the incumbent than assist in saving the Nation.
That is a big shame indeed! If they would not do anything to help save Ghana, now, they should back off Mr. Pratt and let him contribute his quota for Ghana's ultimate good.
The idea that Political Parties should not contribute anything substantive to solving the Nation's problems other than just identifying and howling about the Government's incompetence is as stupid as one would not help push a vehicle one is traveling on to get out of a ditch.
