.. .There was near pandemonium and confusion at the Annual Global African Investment Forum held in Westminster, Central London after a heated exchange between Ghana’s President John Mahama and former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo degenerated into open insults.This was due to General Obasanjo openly accusing the Ghanaian president and his government of blackmailing and collecting bribes from Nigerian businessmen in Ghana, buying numerous properties in Nigeria and South Africa and financially contributing 12 million dollars to Goodluck Jonathan’s campaign last year. This infuriated President Mahama who lost his temper and pointing his finger, called General Obasanjo an ” idiot” and a “silly buffoon”.It took other ministers present as well as Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni to calm tempers and usher President Mahama to a nearby room. The forum, which takes place from 1st to 3rd December is attended by African Heads of States Ministers, Private equity firms and investors to discuss opportunities for investment and development in African Economies.

As much as Samia's intransigence may be causing big troubles in the CPP leadership, the solution is not for Sakara or anyone to jump ship or abandon the Party.

In fact, it is all about personality conflicts that seem to indicate how each of the feuding leaders in the CPP believes he or she deserves better than the other to be the Party's candidate for the Presidency.

Nduom left to form the PPP because he did not think anyone in the CPP was better than he to become the Party's Presidential Candidate. Now, Sakara is doing the same thing.

But just as the PPP is struggling to be counted as a serious contestant in producing the Nation's next President, so would Sakara's new breakaway Party. None of these splinter Parties would ever have any chance of producing our next President.

Therefore, if Sakara wants to be any relevant to Ghana's Politics, he better find a conciliatory way to stay back in the CPP.

If Samia is becoming increasingly difficult to work with, she should be voted out of any position that influences decision-making in the Party. Period! She did not come back to Ghana to recreate the CPP. The Party was still there, only dormant.

If Samia's efforts to revive the CPP is rather taking the Party down, she must be boldly told to change her ways or quit. And if she does not, she could be kicked out of the Party. The Party might have been started by her Father. But it does not mean it is a family property whose control she has to inherit.

The first question any right-thinking person ought to ask is "In what way is a candidate being "uncooperative" with another? What "cooperation" is Sakara expecting from Samia? Is she to "cooperate" for him to win?

The baseless attacks on Samia when she was the Party Chairperson, were difficult to expose because she occupied a position of responsibility. But now, what sense does it make to blame her for collapsing the party?

Samia has rather been sabotaged right from the day she decided to contest the Jomoro seat. The NDC apparatus then ganged up on her to steal the elections from her in 2012. It continued even after winning the chairmanship of the party where most executives sat on their disgraceful asses and never worked with her.

The Samia name sends shivers in the spines of CPP enemies so they will throw every wrench they can get into her efforts to resuscitate the party. My only worry is that Samia hasnt surrounded herself with the best of minds to help her, hence these petty issues. Sakara only has himself to blame.
