Fantes are not tribalist Akan groups like the ashantis and kwahwus' and the rest of the two speaking Akans. We voted for Kufour (Ashanti), voted for an Ewe (Rawlings), fanti (Mills) and a Gonja (Mahamah) whiles the rest of you bigots only vote only for people that share your tribal leanings. So ask yourself who the blind idiotic voter is, is it fantes who have shown that they vote mostly on issues or the two speaking akans who will vote for anything in NPP colours. Kufour humbled himself and campaigned to the fantes by telling them in humility and brotherhood what he wants to do for them and they voted him. Tell the pompous Akuffu Addo to stop feeling so big and acting like a president already. Let him humble himself ans go onto the ground and offer alternatives to people on the ground and if he convinces them they will vote for. He does not know how to campaign ans unfortunately he has not learnt anything from his several losses. PS: NPP supporters should start using more of their heads and less of their emotions in doing politics. You may foolishly think your tribe is more superior than other tribes but when it comes to elections, everyone has one vote, and insulting ewes, fantes and northerners won't make them for you, but convincing them will. I am a proud fante and I am still waiting for the NPP to convince me instead of insulting me.

The well known Actor, this article is about is not an Akan he is a Voltarian who had previous opportunities to serve in the PNDC Government. How does this article relate to Akans? The Ashanti and Greater Accra are the most ethnically diverse Regions in the country. People from every other of Region of Ghana live happily and peacefully in the Ashanti Region and some inter-marry with Asante's. For example, the same Ewes, Fante's and Northerners you have mentioned in your post. Have you not heard of Fante New Town? This is a mischievous tribalistic stereotype that Ashanti's think they are superior than others. There is no truth in this old tribalistic stereotype.
Ashanti's are proud of their culture, tradition and history. This does not make them different than other Akans or other ethnic groups in Ghana.
