It is a shame that Rawlings - the Jerry John, is once again trying to gain power through the back door, this time in favour of his daughter who he taught how to fly with our Air Force planes and again, who was educated outside the country with our money after he Rawlings had messed up the educational system for our children.
This time however, it seems that Rawlings has run out of luck because a few Ghanaians have become vigilant and enlightened and are determined that he will not continue to have things going his crooked way anymore.
I beg to ask that so when during the Korle Klottey NDC primaries, the Rawlings girl and her father were going through the motions of looking for her name in the register to vote, did they not know that she was not a registered voter and that she had never voted before? What a shame!!!!
That a whole adult who had held himself out to have been a President of Ghana for almost 20 years, should conspire with his own daughter to publicly cheat like this, is unforgivable. Only Rawlings can do this.
Do we have to go through the circus of court proceedings in the effort to bend the impossible to make it possible? The bottom line is that if the girl has not registered, it means that she is not a registered voter. Period!!!
Isnt there anybody at all in the entire NDC who has enough common-sense to understand this simple procedure? Or are they all still terrified of the man? If the petitioners had anything to raise that should have been done at the party level before vetting. Their action now is just afterthought and shouldn't be entertained. This is a party internal issue that shouldn't involve the Electoral commission. The petitioners could avail themselves to the EC if Zenator is able to cast her vote in November as an unregistered voter in the EC national approved voters register. No EC law bars Zenator to register in March when EC opens the limited national registration exercise. Political party registration register is not the same as EC register and must not be compared.

Here in the UK The Residents are sent a form saying YOUR VOTE counts/Make sure you are IN.
You then are asked if everything on the form is correct.If not,changes like a name not on the form can be added on by going to a website to register to vote. If a registered name has moved out,it can be deleted by going to the website.
This young lady can now even benefit from the limited registration process being allowed by the Electoral Committee right now before the election in November 2016.
The system in Ghana is all about money changing hands by going to court all the time.
As I write now, we in London have been sent a form for the May 2016 voting for the Mayor for London and is precisely asking on the form to to register if you as yet not registered.

If I were Nii Ashitey I will not do what he is doing,I will not waste my money fighting a losing battle,you can't cut corners to go to parliament,they think they are smart than the court so they are asking the court to allow only the two to contest the election within a week of annulment of the election to prevent Zanetor for contesting the election if their request is granted knowing that if the request is granted the party may decide to wait up until the limited registration will be over if Zanetor is really not a registered voter to have registered but the court will dismiss their nonsense.
Why they didn't challenge her knowing that she was not a registered voter but waited months up until she contested the election and won in a landslide,why disgrace yourself that way?

This has nothing to do with how things are done in USA. The constitution was drawn by his father and friends and she should have known what the constitution says about contesting as a candidate for Parliament.
What is so special about her that she doesn't want to follow the rules like everybody else? Even 22 year old girl who wants to be in Parliament was responsible enough to follow the rules.
Zanetor just woke up one morning and decided she wanted to be a parliamentarian so she chose a constituency and threw her name into the contest.
She wants to go to parliament and make laws for us the nobodies when she doesn't want to abide by the rules like everybody else, what a country.
How did they know she was not a registered voter until they later found out when she couldn't vote. The fact that they did not challenge her earlier does not mean they have lost their rights to challenge later.

There have been countless voters registration exercises that have been conducted throughout the cuntry over the years calling and pleading upon the citizenry to at least register to enable them to vote when they wish to. Civil and Public Servants, truck-pushers, the unemployed, disabled persons of all categories, doctors, lawyers, accountants, housewives, even Togolese and anyone who is interested, has freely registered to vote and if possible to eventually stand as a candidate in elections.
Millions of the above categories of Ghanaians registered and voted for JJ Rawlings in the past but guess what .... his own children - the children of the man who led Ghana for almost 20 years, felt that they were too big and comfortable to bother about voting. In their minds, they probably had it that fools like Corney will take care of such nonsense and vote for their father on their (children's) behalf.
And lo and behold, not only did the fools like Corney continuously vote for their father and other members of their fathers party but today when it has become necessary that she (Rawlings daughter) should be a registered voter before she can stand as a candidate, who is it who comes ranting and railing on her behalf, but one of their dependable and eternal serfs - Corney the dope-head.
