The last time, Muslims burnt down a christian Mission house in Atebubu and that one too he did not condemn it. Muslims went on demonstration in Takoradi for equal right in Christian schools and that one attracted condemnation from Mahama against Christian missionary schools. Why is it so? Dr Bawumia said for example that a runway rehabilitation alone at Kumasi airport cost this country $23.8 million whereas a proposed airport at Ho is estimated at $25 million; and asked sarcastically, “was the runway in Kumasi paved with gold?”
He insisted that given the resources at its disposal, one should expect at least four times the quantum of investment that the NDC claims to have undertaken, saying, “The close to $30 billion of borrowing that was not used for projects could have been used for other critical sectors of the economy.
He mentioned the rail network from Accra to Paga, the water problems, energy, many major road projects in each region, transformation of agriculture particularly in the Northern Regions, Afram Plains and others through investment in machinery, irrigation and dams as some of the projects that the huge amount of money could have covered.
He also said the amount could have been used to build one world class hospital in each region, buy at least 1,000 ambulances, set up factories with the private sector across the country to add value to raw materials and create jobs, equip existing health and education institutions with state-of-the-art facilities as well as build an additional 600 of the Senior High Schools the government is currently trying to build.
According to Dr Bawumia, the reason why he insists the NDC government is attempting to hoodwink Ghanaians with claims of massive infrastructural investments is that “Most of these projects are over-priced as a result of the single source procurement method, which has become the procurement method of choice for this government, as we saw in the SADA, GYEEDA, Karpowership, SMARTTYS bus branding, etc.”
He articulated, “I would like to see for example explanation from the government quantity surveyors of the costing on the Kumasi airport runway for $23.8 million. However, you and I know that they would not explain because they cannot explain.”
He said all previous governments, especially the NPP, undertook infrastructural projects but the NDC is making it look like it has done what nobody did, saying, “The real fact is that the NDC has no real achievements to point to outside the undertaking of some projects; hence, their resort to mediocrity.”
Dr Bawumia also said infrastructural investment was not supposed to be for its own sake but to increase productivity and production in the economy. “If you have indeed undertaken massive and unprecedented infrastructural investment, then why is the economy collapsing?
“Why is the NHIS in trouble? Why is unemployment on the increase? Why are businesses collapsing? Why is agricultural growth stagnant? Why is manufacturing growth negative? Why is the government having difficulty meeting statutory payments? Why the high interest rates? Why the massive exchange rate depreciations? Why are the SADA guinea fowls flying to Burkina Faso? Why the massive increase in utility prices? Why the withdrawal of teacher and nursing training allowances? Why all this suffering in the land?” he asked.

I have come to the conclusion that Afoko deserved all the treatment meted out to him. This is a guy who was elected to steer his party back to power but then that is not how he read the mandate given to him. Right off the back he launched a mission to wage internal war within the party, pitching one imaginary wing against the other, dissipating and wasting energy and time along the way, instead of strategizing to take down the NDC.
Personal interest and empowerment above the party became his agenda and began to see internal enemies and ghosts who have to be crushed everywhere. I will say he was ineffective and gripped by a mental condition characterized by delusions of persecution, unwarranted jealousy and exaggerated self-importance. Everything he has said here is grounded in suspicion and mistrust of Akufo Addo without evidence or justification.
For all of the above reasons, Afoko must go, he has become a huge distraction for the NPP and Akufo Addo to win back power. Afoko set out to build a personality cult for himself and his so-called Kufour wing and failed miserably. Go Afoko go, you think of politics as some kind of blood sport when it is not, but a battle of ideas and issues. Please go and don't let the door hit you in the face. Enough of you!

As a newly elected top Administrator of the Party, Afoko had every right to take concrete steps to stop the pilfering of the Party's funds by a few who had been using the funds to exclusively service Akufo-Addo's campaign in the Primaries.
Sir John and Jake were the stooges of Akufo-Addo who had been slicing a part of the NPP off that was drowning in paranoia and xenophobia to satiate his irrepressible urge to become the President of Ghana, willy-nilly. So, they would illicitly indulge him with that financial facility to ensure his advantage over the other aspiring Flagbearer candidates prevailed.
If you have any thread of honesty in you, you would concede that one of the main reasons why the Tamale Congress elected Afoko and Kwabena Agyepong to replace Jake and Sir John, especially, was to stop the corruption that the latter two were involved in. If it were in any country the two would be in jail by now. Why wouldn't you simply admit that?
The Treasurer, Abankwa Yeboah, had been the functional tool for that corruption, and Afoko found it necessary to temporarily withdraw him from his post till full investigation into that corruption charge were done. That was purely an administrative work by Afoko that did not rub well on Akufo-Addo who feared his damning exposure in the investigative process.
And what immediate response did Afoko and Agyepong get for trying to clean the rot? The likely culprits in the case of the disappeared funds organized hooligans and criminals to go chase the two out of the Party Headquarters with Machetes and Guns, under the pretext of preventing some trumped-up Alan Cash-plot with the two Administrators to implement some Agenda 2020. The fact is that the Akufo-Addo faction that stood to gain from such corruption in NPP promptly planted the lies that Afoko and Agyepong only wanted to get rid of all supporters of Akufo-Addo in the Administration of the Party so that the so-called Agenda 2020 could be rolled out without a hitch in Alan's favor. What a mischief you so aloofly overlook to rather turn the blade on Afoko!
What proof did any of the propagandists spreading that Agenda 2020-lie put out there to support their claims? We did not see Akufo-Addo call his mob to order, or say, or do anything immediately to discourage any such chaotic reaction in an attempt to resolve any perceived problem associated with that assault.
Then, came assault after assault that culminated in the Murder of Adams that Kennedy Agyapong fatuously pinned on former President Kufuor, Mpiani and others.
The cascade of violent reactions from Akufo-Addo's faction never abated till the suspension of Afoko and Agyepong that was largely the ultimate goal of the Akufo-Addo faction, which is: getting Afoko and Agyepong out of the way.
So, who are you kidding here? Afoko did not start your 'imaginary wings' within the Party. He did not start any 'internal war'. Neither did he or Agyepong demonstrate any egoistic behavior to inflate their personal worth in the Party. They only set out to do the job the members of the Party had elected them to do.
It is unfortunate that often when a lie is repeated so many times, it takes the color of truth to further bamboozle the Public. It is shamefully ungrateful that you call the enthusiasm and sacrificial verve the two diligent Administrators brought to their work as pursuing their 'personal interest and empowerment'. They had already been empowered by those who elected them. So, get it right! You, like the others in the Akufo-Addo camp never liked to see the two be in control of the Party, from the very beginning anyway. Wasn't that the reason why you even attempted to sell Afoko to Interpol to shove him out of the way before the Primaries?
And God being definitely unlike your breed of divisive bigots and liars helped him through to win. You may ask why doesn't God intervene for him again to help him retain his Position then. Well, I believe, as in many things in our lives, that God sometimes allows us to be part of a bigger picture to expose the evil in others. So, He hasn't abandoned Afoko at all. He is only using him for bigger purpose.
The current status of the Afoko-Agyepong versus NPP saga is an ongoing event that is supposed to expose the evil in those who were misusing the NPP funds.
Most of the NPP elders and Committee members are either bought by Akufo-Addo, as was revealed in the days leading to the Primaries, when his camp doled out GHC 25 or more to various Delegates, or simply caught up in his misguided hifalutin 'All die be die' backlashing advocacy.
I have rarely ever been as incensed as now by your attack on Afoko! If you could not have had enough of the baloney from Akufo-Addo's camp, but have had enough of Afoko who is only trying to protect his reputation and the heart of the NPP, then you surely belong with the xenophobic Akufo-Addo personality cult. Afoko reserves the right to expose the truth and save his reputation. Take your creepy hands off him!

The question however remains. John Dramani Mahama says he is undertaking infrastructure projects in this country. Those projects as well as the artistic impressions(sic)captured in the NDC Green book, as stated by Dr. Bawumia could never be more than $7billion dollars. John Mahama has however accumulated a debt of a little over $37billion dollars. Ghanaians want to know the cost of those projects John Dramani Mahama says he is undertaking in this country so we can reconcile the figures, because those projects cannot be more than $7billion dollars. So where is the rest of the $30billion dollars? This is the credibility deficit of John Mahama, Koku Anyidoho is cocksure is in tatters, because John Dramani Mahama cannot provide that figure. This question about reconciliation of the figures is however on the ballot. It is an election issue and John Mahama must answer. Where is the $30billion dollars?
