Those of us from the constituency knows Nii Noi is to no-good. We know he is not popular with the people in the constituency. All he does is to pay some people GHs5.00,GHs10.00 to show up at his meetings etc. to make noise etc. Most of the followers of Nii Noi are NDC people. Nii Noi managed to buy most of NPP communicators and radio presenters who pollute the airwaves with miss-information. We know them all. He also bought some of the young party officers at the constituency, Regional and National level and also some former National officers. The likes of Anthony Karbo, Mustapha Amind etc. That is all behind us now. It is better for the for the party to close its doors firmly behind Nii Nio Nortey and not let back in. All Nii Noi Nortey want is for the part big boys to call him and offer him money.Some of us know him very well, we have been with him since he came to the constituency around November 2013.

NPP should have stayed with Nii Adjei Tawiah. The love him. He lost the 2012 election by just 1,200 votes. The was no need for a parliamentary primary in NPP Klotey Korle. All the money they sent should have been used to support Nii Adjei Tawiah. The constituency would have still remained peaceful. He was well know and needed the support of the party but what did we do, we left him to fight alone while support the two other aspirant with money because NPP internal politics at the very top. The is very sad. Do we still want people to rise through the ranks of the party, sacrificng as the go along. I have been in the constituency since 1992. It was only during Nii Adjei Tawiah as the chairman that we about 80 cell-meeting in operations in the constituency. During the time of his chairmanship the structure of the party worked in the constituency. From the time Nii Noi Nortey became the chairman till 27th February 2016, the party did not have a single cell-meeting place.

Parliament is a place for serious business. It is not a place for famous individuals, who may be rich persons or great social movers, in their communities. Laws, which guide our social lives and contracts which would affect our economic well being, are dealt with on a continuing basis in parliament. It is therefore required of any serious person, desiring to offer self for public service, to weigh his or her strengths, relevant to the task on offer in parliament. The bane of our progression, as a nation since Independence, may be traced to the lack of sending quality people to the law-making house. When persons who are generally liked for their capacity to give away monies and other gifts but lack the needed skills for parliamentary work. The result will be garbage in, garbage out. We will of course, would have packed the house with characters who will only yell ....yer yer the loudest, when it comes to voting on issues, which they may have very little understanding. Our nation will be the losers. We must learn to do the right things by voting for the right people, in order for our country to compete with the best in the world.

That will be at the age of about 40-45 years. Right now, what we have is disastrous. Young men complete tertiary institution and they plunge into politics just to make money at the expense of the state. Examples are Ablakwa, who has never worked or employed anybody. NUGS and SRC Presidents in our tertiary institutions must be barred by the law to enter politics without a certain number of years' mentorship by older seasoned politicians. Their backgrounds too must be investigated to establish integrity, etc. Otherwise our type of dmocracy will be dead. It's an apology of what UK and the rest of the western world have.
