SOURCE : Class fm online.com--------- Ghana is paying six times its total oil revenue as interest on the country’s total public debt stock; that’s the computation done by former Deputy Governor of the Bank of Ghana, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia. “We’ll reach GHC99billion by the end of this year 2015,” the Running Mate to the Flagbearer of the biggest opposition Party said in a post-budget presentation interview with Richard Sky of Citi FM. “The interest on this debt alone is going to be six times Ghana’s oil revenue,” Dr Bawumia said. “When we found oil, we were happy that we found oil, but the borrowing of this Government has compromised the whole oil discovery; you need six times our oil revenue just to pay interest on the debt, not even capital, so, it is a really sad development,” he complained.

It is interesting reading that JB had political ambitions but not in the interim but for the future. In some jurisdictions, the net of investigations would have been cast wide to rope in all those who felt threatened by this ambition, including both proponents and opponents of agenda 2020. Why do we like sweeping things under the carpet. Agenda 2020 has led to the suspension of a chairman and Generals Secretary of NPP. It had led to the death of two party executives. Is JB the latest victim? Either the killers are within the opponents of agenda 2020, meaning current NPP executives who don't want to hear of the agenda 2020; and the proponents of agenda themselves who want JB out of the way for their own favorite. You cannot run away from this analysis, given that the robbery was anything but a robbery. No robber would go to that extent just to take two mobile phones. It is unheard of.

Of all the theories and ak3 ak3 coming out of the murder of JB, Agenda 2020 seems to be the most believable. What in this world would two or three mobile phones do to an armed robber when they can be obtained for nothing in all these mobile phone shops in circle and other places? It is ridiculous for a group of murderers to organize and eliminate an MP just because of a mobile phone. There are far more serious motives, and everything points to politics or business, but so far the business angle has not yielded any clues. Was JB owing someone and refusing to pay? Or rather was someone owing JB and not able to pay and therefore decided to get rid of him from pestering him? More importantly, who are the main protagonists of Agenda 2020? They all need to be investigated. The clue to JB's death lies with them.
