DR BAWUMIA ,THE PROPHET, ON THE $250 MILLION NDC TOOK OUT OF THE $1BILLION EUROBOND FROM BOG AND DEPOSITED FOOLISHLY & NONSENSICALLY AT THE UNITED BANK OF AFRICA (UBA)--------READ BELOW------ Beyond the issue of legality, there is the issue of prudence in the management of Ghana’s resources. How do you go and borrow money for 10.75% (US dollar) and give it to someone to lend it to you at over 20% (GHC)? In effect you are paying over 30%! Assuming stable exchange rates, Ghana will be paying additional interest of at least $50 million a year on this transaction. It really is reckless. The government is claiming that the funds were “idle”. Really? What does that mean? Why do you borrow funds and pay interest on it if you do not have use for them at the moment? It is clear that the GIIF does not have a portfolio of projects ready to invest in and it is weird to allocate a whopping sum of $250 million to them at this time. Is the Minister aware that the country owes N-Gas some $100 million? What about other contractors who are owed money by the government? How can you owe so much, have so much to do and yet claim to have “idle” borrowed funds? The allocation of such an amount to a private bank also has major macroeconomic consequences for a relatively small economy like Ghana. It increases the deposits of the banking system and ultimately the money supply. It has inflationary and exchange rate depreciation consequences and would make it more difficult for the government to meet its inflation target. I am surprised that the government is oblivious of these consequences. The Funds should stay at the Bank of Ghana. After all the Bank of Ghana, on its own or through its external fund managers of the caliber of internationally reputable banks like UBS, JP Morgan, Citibank, Merrill Lynch etc. can undertake whatever investment of the country’s foreign exchange that the government would like it to undertake

The CPP must drop that colonial mindset and the voodoo politics around personalities, and join hands with the NPP to capture power from Alibaba Mahama and the 20 or so majority Atinga-Trokosi ministers in his cabinet. Together, I believe the coalition of CPP-NPP can fast track the development of our dear nation more than when the CPP or the NPP alone is given the nod. Trust me, where comes in the Nkrumah or Danquah/Busia/Dombo ideologies when indeed the IMF run the show for the so called Blackman is Capable to Manage His Own affair Black African State Advocates. And the loud mouth so called Nkrumahist had no other person than Kwabena Kabila Bomfe as their campaign strategist when Kabila himself is struggling to mop up strategies to win the Kintampo South seat. Let Ivor stop the jokes CPP and come to the NPP where he can meet equal and like-minded people like himself to help rescue Ghana from Alibaba Mahama and his dangerous 'Thieves Of Kuwait, oops! Dubai; Oh men, I mean Thieves of Baghdag'.

This Sanjay idiot has been in every comments pertaining to the NDC bit I strongly believe he doesn't even gain a dime from them and who said Ghana has always not been peaceful?Ghana was peaceful even under Rawlings and Acheampong.u guys always attack personalities instead of telling Ghanaians what u can do but I blame Npp for also not playing dirty politics like the NDC.the founder of your own party doesn't even want to be associated with a party he found, obed Asamoah the former chairman went ahead to form his own party,Kofi Adams and one of your former chair men was suspended and there has been serious blood shed within your Party buy u tend to accuse the NPp of disintegration where as yours is even worse.remember president Buari won in Nigeria regardless of the dirty politics his opponents played. Calling him names such as violent, uneducated etc

Whoa..
Those are different talking points. Many Ghanaians do not get that they need infrastructure for the country to run properly. Someone needs to break it down to them.

A woman put an add in the paper saying that she needs a man who can satisfiy her in bed, won't beat her, and won't run from her. She gets thousands and thousands of replies and can't find what she is looking for. So she is about to give up when one day the door bell rings. She opens the door and there is a man sittin a wheel chair with no arms or legs. She says," Can I help u?" He says," I am here about your ad." She says," Forgive me but I don't see how u can help me." He says, " Well number one I don't have any arms so I can't beat you. And number two I don't have any legs so I can't run from you." She cuts in and says," Well how do u expect to help me with the third thing?" He says, "I rang the door bell didn't I?"

Tell parents to work hard to pay their children school fees. Not NDc or NPP will pay their school fees for them. If decide to send your kids to private school you must be ready to pay school fees.

CPP introduced one party state and dictatorship metamorphosed into PNP PNC supported PNDC/ NDC and have ruled this country for over 45 years. NPP was in power for only 8 years and Ghanaians tasted real governance and freedom.
